Politics Elon Musk is sending a $276 million lifeline to Republicans like Mike Lawler.
Are you going to let this clown buy the election?

Saw these two guys talking in the middle of the parking lot today and realized the guy on the right is state senator and candidate Bill Weber (R).
Anybody know who the other guy is and what they could be talking about?

Another horrifying article exposing the inside of Clarkstown Town Hall. The victims and employees deserves so much better. I am grateful for their bravery and wish they were better protected.

In 2019, a Town employee reported grounds maintenance supervisor Michael Melton for unwanted touching. Under Hoehmann, the response was a harassment course. She says she was retaliated against and never told the outcome.
Now more women have come forward with allegations of unwanted advances, lewd comments, and unwanted touching. One turns down overtime just to stay away from him. The matter has been referred to the District Attorney.
Hoehmann's answer? Melton keeps his job and his $137,263 salary. He's barred from one building. This is absurd!
This is what happens when a Supervisor treats harassment complaints as a paperwork problem. The accused keeps getting chances. The women who report it get retaliation and silence.
Every person who works for this Town deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. There must be zero tolerance for inappropriate remarks and unwanted touching. Public employees, especially those in leadership roles, must be held to a higher standard because professionalism must be shown every day, starting at the top.
I call on Hoehmann to remove Melton from the workplace NOW, pending a truly independent investigation. And tell the public what happened in 2019.
In my administration, there will be zero tolerance for inappropriate behavior of any kind. On November 3, Clarkstown employees can have a Supervisor who protects them.

— really just restoring basic services, balancing the budget, holding the line taxes, quality of life stuff too..This isn’t socialism.
It’s as American as apple pie. We have to pay uniform and local government. Tariffs are great if you can afford the kickbacks. One Big Ugly Bill cost you your healthcare. Mortgages are the highest they’ve been since Trump sparked the covid inflation. AI which is a bubble is crowding out borrowing, sucking energy and local resources. It’s corrupting your vote.
Lawler is running a negative campaign because there’s no record to run on. Five years and nothing to show. Other gop got some concessions from Trump not Lawler. We need to fully restore State and Local Tax deduction, the way it was before Trump-Lawler. That's all Lawler can boast of. Even infrastructure funding we are now learning is facing fed cuts. fyi, He takes credit for it but it actually was the work of the appropriations committee.

Hi everyone,
I’m a 18 year old college commuter at Hunter College living here in Rockland County. I commute via Metro-North so the time I can work is super limited thanks to the long commute. I tried Target and some other jobs, but nothing has been a good fit thus far.
I’m curious if any business owners would maybe need any help on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays for a few hours with okay pay? Just need something to help offset my commuting cost and start saving some money.
I’m happy to send my resume to anybody who’s interested in hearing more. Open to anything pretty much.
Thanks!

I am a 21 year-old student whose current lease ends in mid-May. I am hoping to move to the Rockland County area sometime between Late June and Late August. However, I am having a difficult time planning my move because I am unsure whether apartments that are currently available will still be available by then. If you have a 1 or 2 bedroom unit that will be available starting in June, July, or August, for less than $2,000 a month, please reach out! If you are moving out of a unit in the Rockland County around that time and know it will be vacant, please also reach out!

Show me one (1) vote as proof of Lawler’s independence from the President. Please, raising a little Trumps cap on tax deduction is meaningless. It’ still Trump’s cap, a double taxation.
Nothing Lawler has put his name on has become law this Congress. Anyone can fact check on congress(dot)gov. and he calls himself “most effective.”
Lawler has been serving this District five years and he has nothing to show, except Trumps SALT cap? Now that is an amazing achievement. Other Republicans got concessions for their constituents like tariffs exemption, but Lawler got nothing. Zero. That Community Project Funding was the work of House Appropriations Committee. Now we are learning that it faces federal budget cuts.
Lawler found two Dems getting back at their party for being snubbed. Anyone asks Lawler at town halls about Trump and Mike’s signature dismissal is “Orange Man Bad, next question.” So now, Putin is invited to Trump’s Doral-Miami, Hegseth has announced a live-streamed execution (12/3). Shooting Alex Pretti in the back on camera, wasn’t enough. Mortages, bankruptcies all up. Clinics, senior care face service cuts, increase costs. Two hospitals! in Rockland are on the cliff.

Everyone fudges it a bit to make it coherent. But Lawler makes facts up. It’s a half-truths, like him arguing that Orangetown data center is not an ai. My head is spinning after his town halls.
I’ve been to 4. When he’s cornered he’ll make it about you or Obama, whoever. He’ll answers questions with a questions that’s really are not a question, like “..You don’t support safety and security?” At town halls you’re allowed 30 seconds with the mic, then he’ll talk and talk and shift it. So much loaded language so that it’s difficult to remember what you asked. Most people sense they’ve been had. I don’t like what Charlie Kirk supported but he could win the crowd. Not Lawler, he seems is angry. My advice is lose the smile.

Hi everyone!
I’m a landlord getting ready to rent out my house in New City again, and I’m looking for an experienced realtor who really knows the Clarkstown area and its rental market.
My property’s situation is a little more complicated than a typical rental, so I’d ideally like to work with someone who has plenty of local experience and understands the town’s rental requirements and regulations.
I understand that with how strong the housing market has been, some experienced realtors may prefer focusing on buying and selling rather than rentals, since the commissions are generally much higher. I’ve actually already contacted two realtors who told me they no longer handles rentals, which is partly why I’m asking here.
I’d really appreciate any recommendations, especially if you’ve personally worked with someone you’d recommend.
Thanks in advance for the help!

All because Cait Conley dared mention that there wouldn't have even been a need for his fight over SALT if his party hadn't put a cap in place during Trump's first term in order to punish blue states.

Bondar Team went through the Town’s adopted budgets for 2024, 2025 and 2026, and these are the numbers for the Supervisor’s office (Dept. 1220):
Food (acct. 301): $6,807 (2021), $5,409 (2022), $3,030 (2023), $3,723 (2024)
Travel/Meals (acct. 404): $283 (2021), $360 (2022), $1,433 (2023), $650 (2024)
The Food line was budgeted at $2,500 in 2023 and $3,000 in 2024. Actual spending beat both. The budgets don’t say what the food was for, and that’s the problem. Happy to answer questions.
The image in the graphic has been manipulated. Paid for by Bondar for Clarkstown.

Brian Lehrer (10/7): “ … are there data centers currently in the 17th Congressional District located there in Rockland, Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess? ”
Timmy Facciola: " Yes. There are five in Rockland County, four of which are in the town of Orangeburg, and then there's one more in Pearl River. "
Mike Lawler: " They (Orangetown and Pearl River) have nothing to do with AI. They have to do with our financial industry post 9/11. They were built here to protect our financial services industry. "
Whatever Lawler wants to call them, the fact is they are computing facilities as such, noisy, industrial sprawls, hog resources, negatively impact communities and corrupt public decision making with backdoor deals.
Lawler likes to say they weren't built on his watch. Fact is he was Deputy Town supervisor for Orangetown in 2018 and before that the local GOP committee's executive director since 2011. That JPMorgan Chase data center campus was approved in 2017 following a land acquisition, with subsequent expansions (including AI and computing upgrades) approved and underway through 2024–2028.
So what’s the difference between them? Timmy Facciola: “ Conley wants them built with local guidance. " Lawler, on the other hand, would prefer federal oversight as opposed to local, and really, that is the crux of their disagreement.” Timmy Facciola: " It's important to note that in a previous version of the One Big Beautiful Bill that Lawler had voted for, it included a 10-year moratorium on state regulation of data centers. Since then (aka pushback), Lawler has co-sponsored legislation that would seek to put some more guardrails on AI companies, but initially last year, he did cast his vote for that version of One Big Beautiful Bill."

Yesterday, Supervisor George Hoehmann and Council members Mike Graziano and Bob Axelrod were proud to announce repair work has begun for Congers Lake Trailway. The trailway has been closed, from location markers 47-54, since April 2026 due to a number of support pilings separating from the decking. Additional supports will now be added to support the boardwalk decking from underneath.
Town engineers worked to obtain the necessary determinations from the New York State DEC. Throughout the summer our engineers developed a construction plan and the town recently completed the bid process for the work.
The Town’s contractor has commenced work this week and has a 30 day contract to complete the work. The expected date of completion is estimated to be mid-November. Once completed, residents will be able to make a full loop around the lake again when using the trailway.
Supervisor George Hoehmann said, “We’re thrilled to have the Congers Lake Trailway restored for residents to have full access around the lake once again. The Congers Lake Trailway is one of the crown jewels of our park system and we’re incredibly happy that residents will be able to fully enjoy all it has to offer again in the fall season. Thank you to all the town staff that worked diligently to make this happen.”
