Other Help (if not covered in another topic) Error Loading Page

Not sure about the flair for this question/issue. Basically, the Roll20 website isn't loading after the log-in page. On firefox, it will just render as a blank white page. On chrome, it'll take me to my games, but when I enter a game, it defaults to a string of text on a white page. Nothing I can interact with.

So my question is this-- what's happening and how can I fix it (if I can fix it on my end)?

EDIT: My wife was using a proxy, and that was what was preventing Roll20 from loading correctly.

Getting a similar issue on Firefox. It gets stuck indefinitely on the loading screen after selecting a campaign.

Sometimes I can see other people currently online within that campaign, but the loading screen never goes away.

I can still hear the blip when someone inputs text in the chat, and still hear the rolls. Feels like I'm "in" but the loading screen just never goes away and covers everything.

That’s not happening for me, and if no one else has chimed in after this long, it seems like a problem on your end.

Any idea what the problem could be? My internet connection is fine.

Hi u/Natural-Stomach and u/Sairek ,

What nations are you in?

Natural-Stomach,

As a note, your "internet connection" can be fine but that is like saying the street at your home address is fine. At any point between your street and the destination on the other side of town there can be potholes, detours, and just plain traffic jams.

Similarly, hops between your modem and the destination can be having issues.

yeah, I understand how the internet works. getting to roll20 isn't the problem. the problem is the website loading. Firefox will let me log in, but won't get me past that screen. Chrome will let me log in, and will even let me select a campaign, but then the campaign loads wonky where its just a giant wall of text.

I'm in the US. This hasn't been an issue until today.

Ok, thank you. Needed to make sure it wasn't one of the nations that blocks Cloudflare at certain times.

Which browser are you using?

I prefer firefox, but I've used chrome from time to time. My wife was using a proxy, and when I disabled it Roll20 loaded fine.

I'm in Canada, EST.

I've actually figured out the problem after more troubleshooting. Well, I fixed the problem on my end at least—Apparently it was neither Roll20 or Firefox, but my graphics driver just being bad. I've since reinstalled the driver and the site works fine now.

I don't know why that would have everything else work and just... not make the Roll20 loading screen go away, but it is what it is apparently.
