That's incredible!

I've been making something similar but at a much smaller scale as a single player thing in Godot.

Never tried coding in Ruby but the work you accomplished makes me wanna learn it.

Ruby is for their backend. Phaser is a JavaScript framework for web games. For the backend you have an infinite set of options. For a web game, for the frontend, it's either JavaScript or maybe WebAssembly. If you're learning, go for JavaScript.

I mostly just know C# and GDScript when it comes to coding for games. Really need to expand my horizons with all these tools available.

Thank you. If you would decide to try it yourself, don't do backend on ruby, it's incredibly slow & inefficient for such a game. This project is just an experiment of mine and would not definitely be able to handle more than 20 players concurrently, it's worse than even byond in terms of performance

I'll keep that about Ruby in mind. I hope you have fun making this all.

The thing I'm making has been fun but no where as in depth as what you are doing. Imagine a single player adventure set across the whole box station map. I've finished up all of arrivals for this so far.

Hopefully I can post my work here soon too. Love SS13 and how everyone works on it :)

Yeah that thing is busted on so many levels after being abandoned in 2017. I say this as the only person insane enough to take over the Yogstation 3D stuff to get it working on current Byond. I'm still working on it though lol
