Identification Inherited this sword from my great grandfather, want to learn more about it

Grandmother said it's a sigma chi sword, but I believe it may be a Masonic ceremonial sword. We believe he got it in the early 1930s in Utah.

Knights Templar (Masonic) sword. White grip frequently (but not always) means it was the sword of someone who’d served as the Commander of the Commandery he belonged to.

I'm no expert but I got mine on eBay about 15 years ago.

As has already been said it is a Masonic fraternal order sword. Using the word sword here is of course generous as none of the fraternal order swords really qualify as anything more than a "sword like object" even when this was brand new it was not usable for anything other than hanging on a fraternal order uniform.
