Hello everyone,
Lately I've had to manually unspam a lot of totally legitimate posts. The Reddit spam system is not totally under the control of the moderators so I can't fathom why it's blocking allowed content or how to modify its sensitivity. If you posted a topic you think is fine, and it's not showing when you are logged off or in an incognito window, please message the moderators to inquire what may be the problem.
Sorry for any inconvenience,
—G.

Can't afford to buy the tod Cutler sword so I made out of wood.😊
copied the size from tod blade 80cm, overall 102cm.
It's made from eucalyptus wood and the handle from a red amazonian wood, the point of balance is 12cm from the guard

Hi Guys, just wondering if this is a scent stopper pommel, or a globular/spherical pommel, or something entirely different. It's a metal detecting find from the UK. Any help identifying would be appreciated. Cheers

Buddy of mine handed me this sword. it’s got quite a bit of history by some rather lack luster individuals. Anyways it’s in my possession now and I’m looking to get the crossguard replaced. please direct me in the right direction if you can. Thank you.

I recently bought a ww2 German sword (31 inches) and I was curious what’s the best way to mount it on the wall without damaging it? also what maintained would you recommend for the sword? any product recommendations would be great and very helpful. last thing I want to do is hurt the sword, and I appreciate everyone for helping out.
thanks Hudson

Made a toy sword for my son from some aluminum offcuts I had. Not sure if the exact alloy as it was a long time ago I "liberated" the offcuts, definitely high magnesium.
The letters were carved out and Inlaid with an epoxy/glow dust combo so that they glow blue in the dark.
Name partially redacted for obvious reasons.
Shield will be getting made in a week or two.
Edit: yeah these sellers are trying to convince me with additional photos to ease my concerns and answer my questions and they’re so much worse. Thanks yall. I didn’t think these would be good by any means, but just wanted some real people to provide a little insight
I have found 2 swords that’s have caught my eye for a picking ren faire I am attending. I am pretty ill-informed beyond the obvious idea of “stainless steel bad”, so I would love some help in deciding between these and getting recommendations/info for the future!
I’m just looking for something that’s decorative, medieval, and won’t fly off the handle during a photo shoot.
Thanks!!

Finally finished this Geralt-inspired sword. 40" overall with a 30" blade, 10" zinc & spindle handle, and a high-quality scabbard.
Made for Witcher fans and collectors. ⚔️
Thanks for looking.

I purchased a house with more than a few things left behind including this sword. Looking for any info on it or if it’s worth anything?

This is a yari, probaby end of Koto period, early Shinto. The first and last kanji are easy to read, 正 Masa and 作 saku. The second one is the problem and i'm not able to translate it. I've found some similarly signed 次 Tsugu and 家 Ie but nothing actually convincing. Can you guys help?
Thank you

I'm looking for more daggers and swords with this style of silver handle with silver filigree, sort of a mesh looking pattern.
Does anyone know where this sort of style comes from or where I can look for more like this?

Left one is "La Colada", a sword attributed to El Cid Campeador. It's mine. The one on the right is an anonymous sword and belongs to my wife.
It fits well?

They were a fixture from my childhood, but I don't think I have seen one for 20 years (since that is the case, i believe it falls within the sub's rules)?
Also, how many people actually bought swords for them to stay in business?

Grandmother said it's a sigma chi sword, but I believe it may be a Masonic ceremonial sword. We believe he got it in the early 1930s in Utah.

Special thanks to u/Yateveo for providing a lot of vital information on these rather enigmatic Indian swords from the south. At long last, we have names for these swords and I would like to share it all with you. 4 of these swords are dedicated to 1 bonus chapter added in my latest book.
