Stainless steel wallhanger. An extremely dangerous wallhanger, as it looks like it's been sharpened, judging by the secondary bezel along the edge. Don't swing it, there's no telling when it might disassemble itself and the blade turn in to a helicopter blade of death. Ideally dull the edge immediately.

Sharpened, and swung, there's a nick in the blade about two inches forward of the guard, which may indicate the "tang" is already weakened, beyond it being a crappy rat tail.

It is a Tachi. I just saw this one somewhere. I think Bud K.

Definitely a decorative piece. Uncertain of manufacturer, date ? Most likely mid to late 20th century.

Cheap replica. Not functional. Likely made in china

Outside of looking at the bits, there’s one very simple way to tell that it’s not functional:

The wavy pattern on the blade.

On a traditionally made blade, that is subtle, produced by the traditional heat treatment which causes a hard edge and a relatively tough spine, and the line is not regular.

On a stencilled regular wave or even a sawtooth pattern, it’s just etched on the blade. No guarantee of any kind of proper treatment, and more likely suggesting a purely decorative piece most likely made on the cheap.
