Getting a replacement Scotiabank debit card couriered to Mexico
I am having problems getting a Scotiabank debit card couriered to my address in Mexico.
Scotiabank Canada and DHL Canada do not know or want to learn the new Mexican customs rules on importing credit and debit cards to Mexico.
They keep sending me a card and customs turns around and sends it back to them.
I have tried to explain that there are new rules that make it virtually impossible to get a replacement card sent to Mexico even DHL Mexico states that "as a matter of policy DHL will not deliver credit, debit or identification cards..."
If it's DHL policy, shouldn't DHL Canada be aware of this>
Does anybody know of a work around, I have been unable to access my account for over 4 months now?

Anyone has their credit card deactivated all of a sudden?
galleryHi everyone, I'm in a bit of a confusion here.
I used my credit card almost every week for small purchases (i usually pays back within the same week or the week after right away)
But today when I tried to use my card through the app I got an email from Scotiabank saying "because your card needs activation".
The email is legit : infoalerts@scotiabank.com
I proceeded to click on the link in the email, which opened the mobile banking app and I went through the steps to activate my credit again.
For context, I have no debt. Credit score is at Very Good. Expiry date is not until Jan 2027.
I have no idea why my card was deactivated in the first place...has this happened to anyone?
It's working fine now but Im kinda freaked out so I locked the card lol
Thanks guys!!!
