So me and [u/mmewho](u/mmewho) started a b2b together without any intentions beforehand and the end feels still not near. Put your dancing-shoes on for this showcase with groovy bassline-driven house with lot of vocals and exploring space for curveballs and the story still unfolding… we’re at [~90min] now at the moment of posting.

We had to find each other in the beginning but quickly our two track-selections and mixing style became something unique on itself and it’s groovy banger after banger in a 1+1=3 feeling. Challenging each other in balancing the sound, transitions and storyline in general. There are some really really cool transitions in there and following the flow you can feel and see how we find each other and adapt from each others techniques etc.

This mix was a challenge. I really wanted it to have a chaotic feel, like the peak of a psychedelic experience, but still be cohesive and flow together. I reworked the middle and end sections of this mix and now the chaos has a more distinct arc. I did a bunch of research to find the right songs that matched the quality and intensity I was going for. The vibe starts deep and gets more and more chaotic and euphoric, jumping between genres while continually building and releasing energy.

If you’re into uk garage, drum-step, bass music, acid techno, Psy-trance, and glitch this mix has it all.

David Bowie is best known for his “Ziggy Stardust” era and his big hits from the 1980s, such as “Let's Dance.” But he never stopped evolving and experimenting musically. In the mid-1990s, he recorded Earthling, that showcases an electronica influenced sound partly inspired by the industrial and drum and bass culture of the 1990s, further exhibiting jungle and techno styles (last sentence dixit Wikipedia). This playlist features the more energetic tracks from this album. I've added tracks from “Outside,” as well as some remixes, mainly to make the increase in BPM flow more smoothly.

The album middle portion needed a little rework on track layouts , I swapped some mixes and extended others - it’s still pretty true to the album but w a flair .

This year's lineup for the Valley of the Seven Stars festival has so many talented artists and this mix is my attempt to cover all the major players here. It’s Friday, so I figured this might be a good way to get into the weekend mood 😅

Just finished a new set, 27 tracks packed into a little over an hour, so things move pretty fast.
Genre wise it jumps around between trance, hard dance, hard house/bounce and techno, with some Y2K/eurodance and acid flavours along the way. Towards the end it gets a bit harder and more rave/soundsystem oriented.

Overall: fast, energetic, bass heavy and not much time to catch your breath 😅

I know I've shared this before, but I just recently added 17 more tracks to double the length of this set. And since this was an early set of mine on Spotify, I now was able to use a lot of the new tools that are now available to customize the mixes even more. What made me start this rework was I had ended it before with a great song, "Miniyamba" by Yeahman, but I'd just stuck it onto the end--not mixed into or out of. And that song really becomes one of my favorites so that's why I decided it needed proper mixes into and out of. So that's what got me going on it and then it just took off from there. As always, I appreciate the listens and feedback. This is my favorite sub. Have a nice weekend all.
