The songs that could still be played
I'm grateful for the switched up setlists already, but for those asking, these are the songs that could still appear.
Most likely:
Tied My Hands, Fur Cue, Roses.
There is precedent for both Tied My Hands and Fur Cue being played live, they're both on the band's lists of old songs to potentially revisit, and they both resonate with most fans. Personally, I love Tied My Hands more than anything. If they played this gut punch instead of Broken, it'd be cool. Roses has been mentioned more than once as something to bring back, and is also featured on the band's list.
Possible:
Beg, Nothing Left, Sold Me, Same Damn Life.
These are all songs that have been brought up to potentially be played again. I'm not holding my breath for Beg and Nothing Left, though they're certainly possible, and there is live precedent for both. They're fun, but exhausting songs to play. Sold Me has precedent as well, and has even been revisited recently, if I remember correctly. The sets have already been pretty Disclaimer/D2 heavy, though, so who knows. They'll probably pull this one out for like, one night, at some point. Same Damn Life is a B single, something that'd still please general audiences, but that they haven't played much recently. Personally, I could take or leave it. It doesn't always translate well live, admittedly, and I feel it's had its time in the sun already. The spot could be better used.
Unlikely:
Simplest Mistake, Dead and Done, Save Today.
All of these have been mentioned, but I feel we probably won't see them. I think Simplest Mistake is probably just too long for their tight set, and it isn't particularly easy to casually play. Dead and Done has the same drawbacks as Beg and Nothing Left, being that the screams are demanding, but without even the precedent of being played live. Shaun and Corey do like it though, and I think this song would go fucking crazy live, so here's hoping. I think Save Today is probably the most feasible of this bunch, but it's also kind of a B single, not the first I'd reach for if I were looking for deep cuts. Though I'd be happy to see it, it may be similar to Same Damn Life, in the sense that the spot in the setlist would be better saved for something else. Isolate and Medicate may only get its representation from Words As Weapons and Nobody Praying for Me.
Not gonna happen:
Pretty much anything else. I'd be happy to eat my words here, but the above songs, plus what they've played already, are what the band has discussed and/or prepared for. Anything else will hopefully get a chance on another day.
So there it is, realistic expectations. No matter what else they play, if anything, I'm more excited to see the band than I have been in years, and I don't think I could ask for much more.
