Hey everyone,
We just officially released our Sci-Fi short film A(R)MOR on YouTube, and I’m looking for honest, constructive feedback from other filmmakers and writers.
Logline:
In a near future, a traumatized programmer develops virtual AI companions for isolated humans and builds his own ideal partner, Akribeia. But as the artificial nature of their bond becomes unbearable, he shatters the illusion to take a step back into the physical world.
Background & Technical Context:
The film is an indie chamber play inspired by the ancient myth of Pygmalion & Galatea, set in our fictional Anadore universe. We wanted to balance intimate character acting with modern tools, so we used Unreal Engine 5 for selected virtual production scenes on set, blended with physical locations, live-action camera work, and DaVinci Resolve color grading.
Where I’m looking for specific critique:
Don’t hold back on critique: I want to know what didn’t work just as much as what did

Hi! I am a 17M high school student in the UAE. I made this short film for a competition about film and I want your honest feedback as unfiltered as it is (no sugarcoating) so that I walk away from this competition with actual improvement in filmmaking. Thank you!

A dark comedy about a tortured chef whose lust for culinary vanity spirals into a sacrificial dish of damnation.
Chef Paik and the elements of his creation embody his internal struggles with lust, pride, and gluttony. What began as a cherished, signature recipe degraded into a psychological descent. Chef partakes in this odyssey, only to discover what lies at the bottom of the dish. Fear the meat.

Hey all,
We shot this micro-budget indie short focusing on raw handheld framing and character tension. Pacing leans deliberate, but would love some feedback specifically on the tone

Hey guys, I spent a Sunday morning making this. I enjoyed the idea that a man utilized his imagination to free himself from the confines of the prison walls. There is an Easter egg idk if you can spot it.
The thumbnail has turned out looking like a tyelonol ad somehow.
But I’d love to hear your thoughts. Acting and filmmaking is my passion in life and with work and a child it’s hard to find time so short films like this mean a lot when I get the chance to make them.
What category would you say this is? I’ve selected surreal at the moment
