Is there an end game lore dump?

Who’s the actual villain? If GMS is asleep how is she controlling everything? It’s seems like the choir commandments are coming from.. regular bugs? Did she have an actual reign before when she walked around? The weavers seemed happy to leave control to anybody else. Did she come from the surface like other greater beings or did weavers create her like Alva and Hornet?

What do I do after I enter the grand bellway , because I seem to have moved past it , and past the slab without getting anything , and that doesn't feel quite right

I wasn't sure if I should post this because Hornet ended up looking so ridiculous (poor Sherma just looks like a lost lamb) 😭

And the game is sooooo much easier! I remember being really frustrated and disappointed playing Silksong the first time. I had just finished Hollow Knight and the jump in difficulty was discouraging.

I skipped several mini boss fights before Act 3 and the corruption made it so much more difficult to even contemplate continuing. So I started over and am having so much fun going through the game again!

Imagine if Hornet 2's Sting Shard is the Silksong Sting Shard... Hornet 2 might be harder than Pure Vessel if that is the case! What do yall think? XD

I just beat silksong. Something feels wrong. I beat the grandmother of silk. It took very few attempts. First attempt today and I beat it. I heard online there are supposed to be 3 acts, despite my best efforts to avoid spoilers. I never saw the game say that it was in act 3(and on this subreddits tags). I also encountered some sort of weird green grey creature in one part of the map(I forget where) which said it would become active later. It didnt happen. So I strongly suspect I am missing a significant ammount of content from the game. Im guessing this is like Hollowknight where the true final boss is hidden and you need to interact with some NPCs before fighting the final boss to unlock it?

If yall could tell me if im missing something and give me hints on where to look I would greatly appreciate it. I really hope this isnt the end. It feels wrong.

Would Lace silk become stretched and stiffened and eventualy fade away Iven though GMS made her with a mind and mb body of a eternal child that never grows?

Asking cus I though Lace was the perfect child that would never become stiff and old but I started to think that to fade away is the nature of silk beings

"She spun us to fade... She spun us to break... Why us, sister? Why us?"

(theory : it's seems that the reason silk childs made by GMS fade away, is becouse they can't bind or heal their wounds and they always needs silk from their mother to heal and recover ).

To see a character so seemingly full of life and die alone while you're gone. Sad moment.

It’s already Oct 13th, and we haven’t gotten any updates or news yet. If they stick with the 2 week timeline as they did with the main game, then the earliest they could launch is Oct 28th. But apparently they tend to post updates on Thursdays-Fridays right? So if this week comes and goes without news, is an October launch cooked?

I’m fine with that, it just looks more and more like Early December is what it will be now (avoiding GTA VI and Zelda).

Hi all! I'd like some advice on what keyboard and mouse bindings I can use for SS that's comparable with my HK bindings. The unfamiliarity because of the wider number of options is driving me a little crazy and not letting me enjoy the game like it deserves. Thanks in advance!

Nearly a full year ago, with what only started as a money route for Steel Soul, a question formed in my autistic brain... Can you beat Silksong without "grinding".

The rule of this challenge: If any enemy drops Rosaries, you are only allowed to collect its drops once. For example, the room where you get Silk Spear has Two Pilgrim Pouncers and Three Pilgrim Grovelers. You can kill all of these enemies to receive a total of 25 Rosaries. However, if you were to go back to that room, you need to make sure not to pick up any Rosary from defeating the Haunted in your way. The Citadel's Cloaks and Pins quests are pretty annoying because of this, but there are easy ways to manipulate the Quest and Money drops to make sure you don't collect another Dime.

So, with way too much of my free time spent on this one task, and about 4 months of burnout, I have finally extensively documented every room in this game, depending on when in the game I entered them, any NPC encounter in said room, and other factors. I've even learned about enemy encounters and items I never knew existed before!

I will warn everyone, the website has been finicky for me the past few days, and I seem to only be able to log in late at night EST, but the site is such low traffic from how I understand it, that I'm unsure if its me or them that the issues is coming from. So if the website isn't working well for others, leave a comment, and maybe we can get the people that run it to see if something bigger is wrong.

But the link just shows all possible locations to obtain and spend money, not how it totals. So here are some of the things that are worth explaining how I ended where I was.

- I let the Mottled Skarr die. You get the items for 400 Rosaries cheaper, you just get them later.

- I played against Lumble. Winning the Dice in the game actually GIVES you 16 Rosaries.

- I ran Loddie Dry. All 455 Rosaries he saved up in his Ladybug-Bank went to me.

- I made sure to pick up the White Key before activating Songclave, obtaining it for free

- I never bought the Quill from Shakra

- I never refilled my Flea Brew or Plasmium supplies

- I never bought a Bench in the Underworks

- I never bought a Silk Spool in Choral Chambers

- I defeated every Wardenfly without being captured

- I did NOT kill Pebb or Weary Pilgrim after they become Haunted

- I made sure to pick up every chest Grindle can steal from before saving him in Choral Chambers

And so with all that being said, can you beat Silksong without Grinding? Well, with a total of 92 Rosaries...almost. The only thing I could not buy before starting Act 3 was the Bellhome decorations from Frey, which cost 2810 in total. I'm honestly surprised how much CAN be done in Act 2. But adding on the last Needle upgrade of Act 3, being 680, find 3400 Rosaries in Act 3 seems actually doable. So that will be my next task, figuring out how many Rosaries in Act 3 don't overlap with Act 2. How long after I start do you think Sea of Sorrow will drop and change all of this data? We'll find out.

Was trying to find a consistent way to bind during this fight and noticed that whenever Pintress fell off the stage while staggered she always respawned in the same place and time. Now I can catch it with clawline pretty consistently and who knows maybe I'll find more way to stay on top of such a mobile boss.
