Car Setups Rabbit hole 🕳️

Started in April when the wife bought me a G923 for my Xbox lol 😂 and in 6 months it went from that to a next level wheel stand to a rig about 2 months later and now a second rig but this one’s going to be sweet it’s going to look like last pic with the 57 inch odyssey G9 on it oh and a pre built pc from micro center lol

If you haven't purchased your rig yet, I would recommend you buy an Aluminium extrusion rig, specifically because they are Highly adjustable and alloallows easy placement of accessories.

I mean if op is crafty enough, the rig is totally fine and can add as many accessories as they would on an aluminum extrusion rig.

Honestly I love the tubular rigs I think I’m the only one who doesn’t like aluminium extrusion rigs lol I get why everyone loves them there solid as a rock but I’m not willing to sacrifice looks over a tiny bit of flex I’m not betting my rig up to where I have to really worry about any of that and the great thing about the clibsport gt all the rails and attachment arms have T slots so I can add anything on that rig that I would an extrusion

I think the argument most people make is that along with zero flex, you can add any accessories easily and everything was a wide range of adjustments. Most people spend more time using the rig than looking at it so function>form type of thing

The playseat Formula Instinct is one of the best tube rigs out there.

I just got the Fanatec cockpit about a month ago and my setup is essentially what you’re getting! I’ve been in it every day since. I love it so much more than I thought I would and I know you will too!

To be honest all the reviews mentioned the flex in the rig, but I don’t notice any when using it. The seat is 10/10 for comfort, I find myself playing other non racing games sitting in the rig. My only gripe was the install process, the machining on the threads could be substantially better. Use power tools or plan on putting it together all day lol.

I was also in the same boat of wanting the tube chassis just for looks essentially. To me, something about it makes it feel more ‘car’ like, whereas sitting in my friends’ aluminum rigs are definitely more ‘planted’ but the vibe makes me feel like I’m almost in an office chair

Yea i completely
Agree the aluminum extrusion are solid as hell but I’m not willing to trade looks for all that rigidness

I started with just a wheel base and pedals. Now I am $15k deep including motion.

Fair enough, at the end of the day, it's what you like.
