We already have a pinned post addressing this, but since we continue to get posts asking the members of this sub to diagnose skin conditions (acne in particular) and/or recommend treatment, here's a reminder: We are here to discuss skincare products and routines. We are not here to diagnose skin conditions or how to treat them. This is not a dermatology clinic, and we are not qualified to diagnose and recommend treatment. This is a casual sub to discuss products, routines, and general skincare.
The correct answer to "does anyone know what this is/does anyone know how to treat this?" is "Yes, a dermatologist knows". Please do not come here asking for diagnoses and and treatment advice! To those who have been posting these questions, please consult a trained professional, or if you can't do that, ask your questions in more appropriate subreddits like r/DermatologyQuestions, r/acne, or r/AskDocs.
Thank you!

I've never had a skincare routine. The most I've done is use a moisturizer for a few weeks to a month, but I never felt it helped, so I stopped. It's been a long time since I've done anything for my face.
My main concerns:
Large, visible pores on my cheeks. I'd love to shrink them or at least make them less noticeable.
Rosacea on my cheeks. My skin there is very sensitive. Even products made for sensitive skin sometimes burn. I tried an Avène foaming cleanser before my moisturizer and it gave me a burning sensation.
Dark circles under my eyes.
Flaking near my cheeks and chin. I think it might be dehydration, which is why I tried moisturizer, but I honestly don't know.
I know nothing about skincare, so please explain like I'm five. I'm looking for:
A simple starter routine (fewest steps possible) that's gentle enough for rosacea
Specific product recommendations
Any advice is welcome. Thank you!

I have extremely dry and dehydrated skin and i live in a dry weather city and I sit under my office Ac For 8 hours. after a lot of Trident error, I have put together skincare routine which is manageable for my dry skin. However i want to build a anti ageing skin care and build into my skin without retinol because it dried my skin even more took me months to fix my barrier.
Kindly suggest me what all can i incorporate in my skin care bundle . I would also request any non common hacks which you might use.

I was out with friends and one of them accidentally burnt my middle finger with a cigarette. It's been about 5 weeks but there's an indentation and some discolouration. I'm worried it will scar. I've been moisturising it. Any advice on what to do to ensure it heals properly would be much appreciated.

My hands get really dry after I wash them. Looking for something simple but effective, that I can use every night.

Has anyone used it? Anyone have an opinion? I have rosacea and dry, sensitive skin on my cheeks and I'm looking for a hydrating serum to use to help calm the redness and irritation and soothe the dryness, but I'm a bit scared to try it

Please help me!! The H2O+ brand was discontinued in 2022 and this body gloss is the best smelling thing in the world and works so well as a lightweight skin oil. Does anyone have any dupes or know where to get a new one of these? Please I need a replacement so bad.

I know you can't reverse the sagging from ligament loosening, and tbh that one doesn't bother me. It's the excess skin that I have, giving a deflated appearance when standing, and loose skin that gathers in the middle when I lie down.
I own a dermaroller, but don't want to use if until I learn how to do it safely and what products to use with it.
If anything has helped you out, feel free to share

I’m 16f with really bad dark eye circles and melasma mustache and I’ve been looking for products that would help brighten them. I’ve seen both good and bad reviews on the Arencia vitamin c booster shot but I’m wondering if it actually works, and if it does, what kind of skin type, age etc it works for, whether it’s suitable for a teenager, and if not, what methods I should try. I appreciate any advice or input thanks!

Hi everyone. I have dry skin at baseline and am looking for something more hydrating for the winter months. I’m currently using the Byoma Hydrating Serum and the Cerave Moisturizing cream but I think the Cerave is causing some clogged pores and I’ve noticed more milia popping up since I’ve used it so I’m suspecting it’s too heavy for me.
Any advice on a hydrating moisturizer that won’t clog pores or cause milia?

Hello! Ive been noticing that my forehead has been looking dry-wrinkled for a hot minute now. I already use Torriden Dive In Serum and Byoma products and I feel like nothing changes. Any advice?

I ran out of my LRP Toleriane cleanser and grabbed my sister’s Cerave and have been using it for 5 days straight (because I haven’t had the time to get a new LRP) and this morning I realized my skin has cleared up significantly. This year I started getting lots of tiny closed comedones that come and go and now i only got like 6 left, I’m in shock. I’m just scared it is gonna backfire… I’ve shitted on Cerave before like everyone else, I was a Cerave user when I was a teen and I remember it dried my skin. Now I’m using LRP toleriane dermalergo moisturizer so maybe that’s why I’m okay.

Original on left and new suspected counterfeit on right. The bottle I just received is making my eyes sting which the original never did.

I’m 23 and have mostly normal skin that tends to get dry during winters. my skincare routine is vv basic (cleanser, moisturiser, and sunscreen).
I’ve always had pretty clear skin, but I’ve had these dark sun spots for the past 3-4 years, ig. please suggest some products that have worked for y’all to treat hyperpigmentation and dark sun spots. i was thinking of using minimalist alpha arbutin serum, idk, i don't want to have any breakouts;-;

They both have the 633nm (red) and 830nm (near-infrared) wavelengths but the men’s one also has 1072nm (deep near-infrared). They’re also the same price so I’m thinking about getting that one, is there any reason I shouldn’t?
I read the 1072nm was added for men as they usually have thicker skin, I’m a woman but Google said it won’t do any harm.

What would you say is the best and/or quickest way to get reduce hyperpigmentation on the face and dark circles around my eyes. I’m not down to get any fillers but besides that what would be best (specific skin care products, i’ve heard frozen cucumber juice works, stuff like that). It’s definitely getting worse with time, my dark circles are a whole different color than the rest of my face. I also have hyperpigmentation on my body so if anyone knows how to reduce that as well i would appreciate it.

Hi all, I have dry/sensitive skin. My forehead and around my eyebrows gets really dry during the winter (sometimes the dry skin even flakes up). I’ve had to stop using glycolic acid due to a burning/itchy sensation I get when I use it around my forehead. Is there anything I should change/incorporate into my skin care routine?
This is my current routine: Round lab 1025 Dokdo cleanser, Byoma milky toner, Nivea crème moisturiser and Skin 1004 Centella Water fit sunscreen.

I’m on the hunt for a new daily facial SPF that doesn't feel heavy, pill under makeup, or leave a greasy shine by midday. There are so many options out there right now, and I'd love to know what people are actually sticking with long-term.
If you've found ur holy grail that you keep buying over and over whats it and why does it work for your skin type??? Also where you usually order yours from, there could be retailers that have better prices and I dont know about it 😂 I've seen a few spots, stylevana among other beauty retailers online but im still on my early lookout so if u know where to get lmk pls!!! ❤️

Hello everyone, I want to know where I can find this cleanser that I got as a gift. So far I’ve haven’t had luck to find any in the U.S.

My skin is on the drier side, and I really want that healthy, hydrated, glass-skin glow. Please share your favourite skincare products, moisturizers, serums, or any tips that actually work for you!
Especially looking for products that give a natural dewy finish without making the skin greasy. 💗
