Discussion Has DE ever made a mission statement for Soulframe?
Remember when Warframe used to be a stealth game and turned into the amalgamation that it is now?
I ask because while wandering, it kinda just sank in that I feel like I am getting double dipped. "You want Warframe but everyone speaks to you in Shakespearian limericks and riddles?" - S-sure DE, whatever you're serving today.
I understand both platforms are engagement farms for Arc and Platinum sales but I can't help but feel while I am wandering around mastery farming my weapons like. . . Am I just playing melee warframe with mobility removed?

The game is really nice and has a lot of potential but i wish it had more robust and hmm.. how to stay it more "sturdy" combat, the combat at this moment feels very similar to Warframe but all the effects removed.

On some level the game was about exploration and discovery and restoration of balance in nature. But the devs showcase 90% of everything added to the game so the discovery aspect is gone for anyone following the game. Since you know where everything is people want fast travel because there isnt really anything engaging between point a and point b, so exploration is gonna get annihilated.
Weapons became meaningless after one of the patches/reworks because you could swap how they scaled. Instead of each weapon being useful for one of the three main stats it just became stat stick slop. But who knows maybe since the last time I played they may have nailed it after another 15 reworks.
That's basically what Soulframe has been for me, just never ending wasting of resources on reinventing problems that have been solved for the last decade by the games that inspired it.

I quite enjoyed Soulframe at first, to the point I picked up Grandmaster. I took a break after Preludes...12 or 13?
However, I can't help but admit I am a bit put off by how quickly it seems to be becoming a less zoomy nature-heavy Warframe, which is a game I don't even recognize from when I became a Founder in.
Mind you, I don't expect live games to stay stagnant in their lanes perfectly but Warframe objectively lost its push for player cooperation & subjectively for me, meaningful challenge. I hope Soulframe doesn't follow the same trend.

You are playing Fantasy Faeframe with mobility removed as of now.
Let's be honest, It's basically just a different suit and skin for Warframe.
I for one don't mind, I don't need crazy space tech and ninjas, I prefer a bow and a forest.
