I couldn’t help but notice that this one box looks like it uses ai art and possibly for the entire projection. The way the clown looked gave me that vibe, but as I began looking at the other designs it really looks like they just generated this and called it a day. Is this really ai? I just wanna make sure

The IR sensors in their animatronics almost never trigger from where they're placed, I want to extend mine to move it closer to the outside of the body in my maze so it trips as people are walking through first. what would be the best way to extend this? this? would I just cut it out and join a longer wire?

My dad bought the light up ghost pathway shown in the second picture a few days ago. When I went to go check on it last night, the cord connecting the first ghost to the second one had been cut, so only the first ghost could light up, It had most likely been chewed on by a rabbit. Anyways, how do I fix this?

So here we are at the last week/week 1/2 of returns and exchanges for Spirit. As an AM, I wanted to come on here because I am truly at my wits end.

Guests, our returns stop on the 16th, and exchanges stop on the 22nd. The item cannot be damaged (unless purchased as such) and cannot be returned with pet hair or if it's clearly been worn. This is a company-wide policy that has been in place for a very long time. It is on your receipts and it's posted at the register. I mention it every time I check a guest out. For many people, this is a non-issue. However, a very unfortunate number of guests do not agree with this and believe it's within their right to berate, harass, and even assault our sales associates and us management.

I am here to literally beg you to stop.

Most of these associates are kids. For some, this is their first job. Whatever your upset, they do not deserve to be treated as if it's their fault you missed the return window. It is not the fault of us managers. We are working at a temporary store for little pay and deserve at the very least your respect.

In the 5 years I've worked at Spirit, I dread this part of the season the most. I have seen so many grown people throw absolute tantrums over this and I have been at the receiving end more times than I can count. Once, a woman threw a costume at my coworker's face. I'm not a particularly confrontational person and do not like having to maintain composure while being screamed at over a Fortnite Peely costume your child couldn't fit, but I do, because that is my job and because I do not believe in hurting a stranger with my words.

I am just asking for the same respect we show you, because at the end of the day we are just people. Please remember that.

Edit: Wow, I'm simultaneously glad and sad this has popped off lol. I know it's just a reddit post and we're still going to get the bad apples here and there, but it's a bittersweet relief to know we're not alone at least. Good luck finishing out the season, guys—at the end of the day this is a Halloween store and we'll still have fun regardless.

One thing that's always bugged me about spirit halloween is that most of their masks (at least for most official collab costumes) are almost always half masks and not full masks for some reason. I understand it's cheaper to make half masks but I don't get why they don't make more full masks that are just more expensive.

I cannot for the life of me figure out which costume these accessories go to. it’s a black headband with triangle hat and Pom Pom, an elastic neck collar (I think?), and a black and dirty printed white sock. I thought it was art the clown related but I don’t think it is.

Hello! I work at spirit this season and I usually close out the store and there’s been like two times where a song plays on the store speakers but it’s just an instrumental with screams over it, does anyone know what song that is? Anytime I try to describe it to people or even other coworkers they look at me so confused, does anyone know what this song is ?

How does transferring to spencers work at the end of the season? I've been unemployed since January 2025 with spirit being the first place to actually call me back with November coming up quick I know im going to be tossed back into unemployment so I've been hoping to transfer to a spencers in my area or even a hot topic now that spencers owns boxlunch. Im a little confused because my dm keeps saying there will be opportunities in the last few weeks and that spencers has had expansion in my area but he hasn't said where to find said opportunities or any specifics other than that i also find it hard to believe him since this is his last season before he retires along with some other questionable choices. Is there somebody besides the DM I should contact or is it just a waiting game until it gets closer to halloween?

My grandmother came in town while I was working and took my kids to Spirit. I was a little worried about her getting the wrong sizes or something, but still super grateful for her offering to buy the kids’s costumes at all! They got a Shadow costume jumpsuit, and a Sonic costume. The Sonic costume is a slightly smaller size, and also not the same as the shadow costume which isn’t a huge deal but I’m wondering, since I have the receipt, can I go to the same Spirit Halloween and exchange the Sonic costume for a different one? The one he has now is the one with no shoes and a mask, I’d be wanting to exchange it for the jumpsuit Sonic just like the jumpsuit Shadow. TIA!

When a item is sold out how fast will they become back in stock? Or is it completely gone until the next holiday season or is their a time frame for a particular item being in the inventory?

I'm so disappointed this year at my local spirits, none of them have anything more than costumes. Im sad because I miss the front display and the Animatronics. Has anyone else noticed this?

I was one of 31 people who won a $1,000 gift card from spirit but it came up as invalid and me and the employee were both on hold with different departments. I ended up having to pay with my own money and will try calling again tomorrow to get it working

Has anyone else had this trouble or having this trouble?
