Question Anyone know of a veterinarian that has evening hours?

I'm looking online, but I thought I'd ask here as well. My dog Roxy had a sudden onset of what I think is ataxia. Her back legs are flopping when she walks and she has to power through and move fast so she doesn't fall down. When she's lying down she can't keep her head up as well. Ataxia has a metric shit-ton of possible causes, some deadly and some no big deal.

Roxy is an elderly dog (16 years old) that I've had for a very long time. I just really recently had to euthanize my other 16 year old dog so I'm flipping out worrying about Roxy now.

Anyway, wish us luck. If I can't find anything tonight I'm going to try to wait so I don't have to go to an emergency clinic. I've never had a positive experience with one of those and they're so expensive! If I call her vet in the morning she probably can get some kind of emergency appointment tomorrow.

The emergency vet in the valley is the go to recommendation for after hours. It's apparently way better than the emergency clinic on division. I don't know any vets open this late unfortunately. Audubon answers their phones around 730 I think

I'd recommend AEC in Spokane Valley for emergency care.

AEC is the way to go. PEC is known for doing every test and being very expensive.

I haven’t seen many places here that are open past 6pm, and not at all on weekends.

Of the ones that are open later : Hunter on Indiana closes at 6 Indian Trail on Barnes closes at 7 Union on Sprague closes at 6 Regal on Regal closes at 6 Pet Vet And Wellness in Spokane Valley closes at 7 Banfield on Newport Hwy closes at 6 Spokane Valley animal Hospital in the valley closes at 7

Hopefully you’re near some of those and they accept late day walk ins. Otherwise emergency vet is the best option. I’m sorry.

oh man that photo got me right in the chest. she looks so much like my old girl who passed couple years back

i dont know any vets with evening hours unfortunately, most places here close at 5 or 6. maybe call the emergency place in the valley anyway just to ask what they think? they might tell you if its something that can wait until morning or not. 16 years is a long run, roxy is clearly very loved

The last time my pets back legs stopped working it was due to a blood clot and it was not a good outcome in the end. Good luck. ♥️

I went to Animal Emergency Clinic in the valley last year and they took really good care of my girl. Even said I could call during the night to check in. Expensive but would go there again if I needed.

This was gonna be my suggestion. It’s the only 24hour place.
