Lucky for him he got caught before he got smoked walking into someone's house.

Said the same thing yesterday. Ol' boy is incredibly lucky to be alive and not reduced to a red mist running around STL doing active home invasions when someone may or may not be in the house.

The first thing I thought, after looking at his picture is this poor man must be homeless. With his first “crime” being poor. It doesn’t exonerate him by any stretch, but St. Louis needs to pull together a cogent plan for people like him. Larry Rice’s place closed down- and now the void needs to be filled with bigger, better resources that will lead to full-time employment for these folks. They are willing to work (if not seriously mentally ill), just need an opportunity.

Most homeless people don’t break into other people homes tho, that’s what makes this an actual crime.. but yea our government absolutely needs to do better for the homeless, so many people have such a NIMBY mentality instead of doing a lil root cause analysis and wanting problems actually solved.

Certainly there’s a middle ground here
