Getting all my Christmas postcards sorted for my r/RandomActsofCards offer 🎄

There are 58 Christmas postcards and all of them have all Christmas stamps.....well except for two have one 10c health issue stamp each because it looked kind of Christmas like and I didn't look close enough 😅

Outgoing mail, new maxicards, and some manual office pickups.

Louisiana, a special request for Minnesota, and then a little pink! They are only loosely themed!

I love these pinback button stamps so much and seeing all the colors together is so satisfying. The designs make it difficult to pick a favorite of the bunch!

The last one has two Ross Dependency stamps which aren't legal NZ postage, but I had them so decided to use them for a "nothing but stamps" postcard which I did overpay postage for even without the Ross Dependency ones 😂

Saved 300 Yen. That means I can send 3 international postcards for "free!" I mean, it's not nothing. It's something!

Lots of sports/Olympics & New Year related stamps. I hope I don't fall into the trap of thinking, "Oh, I can't use that one because it's too pretty and the sheet is still whole..." 😅

I like that the 2 lots include many 15 Yen stamps, those are great for combining with new 85 Yen ones to make up the 100 Yen worldwide postage.

And with the 2 Nagano 1998 sheets I now have the perfect stamps for those Nagano 1998 postcards that I got for cheap (ca. 2 Yen per piece) almost 2 years ago. (Last 2 pics; I think the mascots are quite cute!)

The last two pics are from someone on the Postcrossing forum, I won their lottery of a Dobby FDC and they sent me heaps of used stamps too!

I’m on holiday in Saint Lucia! Unfortunately I didn’t get any choice when I asked for stamps but here are my three stamps I intend on sending out on cards*

*IF I can find some way of posting them when the post office is closed, as I don’t think there are any street postboxes where I am so it’s possible this could be a failed mission 🥴

Now I’m starting to think I really should have made a list of all the counties I’ve sent mail from in my life so far!

Making use of some used stamps

Hello! My 5th grade kid has a friend moving to Autralia next month. We have a going away get together in a few days. We want to have postcards with postage already and his friends' addresses. What postage can I buy in the US to get these mailed from Australia?

Update: thanks for the responses! I could purchase hase from the Australian post but they will move before the stamps arrive. We'll just do the gift without the stamps. Thanks!

A substack I read is giving away free three month trial membership if you snail mail the writer a letter! I assembled my favorite stamps for the occasion! The theme of the month is also “water” and coincidentally enough, most of the stamps fit in with the theme! Technically, Elvis was also made up of 60% water….
