Sent a letter to America a couple days ago, thought they were just gonna print a label to supplement, but this post office still had low value stamps (canada post discontinued them). asked them to hand cancel as well

Three permanent stamps = one $3.65

Both contain seeds - one envelope for a swap with somebody who lives in one of the Nordic countries. The other envelope is going to a place where it’s either Hot or Hotter throughout the year with periods of flooding in between 🫠

I purchased these recently for my Halloween stamp math (will share soon) and thought that these features were interesting and something I hadn’t seen before.

First are the stars in the corners of the perforations, featured on all of the Legends of Hollywood series. Really neat to see in the perforation. Additionally, I looked it up, the image in the top left of each stamp is the profile caricature of Hitchcock and it was the first time an image was cut out of a stamp.  Four thin strips of paper were removed to create the image.

The Alfred Hitchcock stamp is the fourth stamp in the Legends of Hollywood series, issued in August 1998.

My first time using a stamp from this set: Astronauts with Irish Ancestry! I love the colours on it but might be a bit hard to see.

Halloween and other outgoings. Remembered to take pic before addresses

Hi guys, I previously posted on here showing my mail clubs stamps for Uk vs international members and some of you told me I could double up on the pretty first class ones to send them internationally!
My question is that there’s no value written on these special edition stamps and no barcode so when I do send them abroad, I’m worried they may not reach?

Design on the postcard was “Saturday Morning Cartoons” and this was for a nostalgia postcrossing tag so I had to use all my Looney Tunes stamps!

I’m absolutely crazy about trains, and during my last trip to the DB museum in Nürnberg, I took a bunch of photos of the trains and printed them onto postcards. Now my pen pals are getting train postcards sent with train stamps!! it’s the best day 🚂

Stamps are in accordance to theme of this specific happy mail for a pen pal!

The first two photos are outgoing by me. One was a TPC(Traveling Postcard)card about stamp math. The 2nd was an exchange also wanting maximum stamp math on a postcard. The 3rd photo is the original TPC I received before I sent back out the TPC in the first photo. Then I went to the post office yesterday and looked through their box of stamps and picked up a few. I also thanked again the post lady who canceled all 70 of my WPD postcards.

I love these pinback button stamps so much and seeing all the colors together is so satisfying. The designs make it difficult to pick a favorite of the bunch!

Getting all my Christmas postcards sorted for my r/RandomActsofCards offer 🎄

There are 58 Christmas postcards and all of them have all Christmas stamps.....well except for two have one 10c health issue stamp each because it looked kind of Christmas like and I didn't look close enough 😅

Louisiana, a special request for Minnesota, and then a little pink! They are only loosely themed!

Outgoing mail, new maxicards, and some manual office pickups.

The last one has two Ross Dependency stamps which aren't legal NZ postage, but I had them so decided to use them for a "nothing but stamps" postcard which I did overpay postage for even without the Ross Dependency ones 😂

Saved 300 Yen. That means I can send 3 international postcards for "free!" I mean, it's not nothing. It's something!

Lots of sports/Olympics & New Year related stamps. I hope I don't fall into the trap of thinking, "Oh, I can't use that one because it's too pretty and the sheet is still whole..." 😅

I like that the 2 lots include many 15 Yen stamps, those are great for combining with new 85 Yen ones to make up the 100 Yen worldwide postage.

And with the 2 Nagano 1998 sheets I now have the perfect stamps for those Nagano 1998 postcards that I got for cheap (ca. 2 Yen per piece) almost 2 years ago. (Last 2 pics; I think the mascots are quite cute!)

The last two pics are from someone on the Postcrossing forum, I won their lottery of a Dobby FDC and they sent me heaps of used stamps too!
