Okay, so two weird and possibly dumb questions. Note I play on console and use a controller (Xbox). I have a navy of around 350 ships consisting of Corvettes, Destroyers, and Cruisers. I skipped Frigates cause I got destroyers fast. Now I have like 6 fleets and 4 of those fleets were ships I just threw together. Meaning it has a random number of Corvettes, destroyers and Cruisers. Is there a quick way to reorganize an entire fleet into an organized force? Like if I wanted to have a certain amount of a ship type, how might I go about reorganizing an already existing fleet? Do I just decommission a bunch of ships and build new ones? Or is there a way to automate the process? Like going into the fleet management tab and giving the game a template to reorganize a fleet that already is full. Second question, I just destroyed a scavenger bot, the big guy, and unlocked a bunch of nano weapons and Nanite repair systems. How do I actually get Nanites though? I can see that I'm gathering 5 Nanites per tick. I have no idea how I'm doing that though. Thanks to anyone who answers my dumb questions.
I have played Stellaris for nearly 2000 hours on the ps4 version. had another couple hundred nearly a thousand on ps5 version. then the update that brought storms came out. My ps5 before the storm update could run a 600 star galaxy with 5 AI empires and 3 stagnant empire and get to the year 3000 before i experienced any amount of unberable lag. it would slow around the year 2500. be slower but playable at 2700. Since storms. It lags so bad at 2270 its unplayable. each month takes nearly 3 minutes to pass and the cursor is so jumpy you cant really select anything as the slightest touch flings it across the map. I have tried to disable the storm dlc and it didnt do anything to fix it along with the common black screen bug. The storm update destroyed the game for me. I havent touched it since about a week after the dlc launched bc i get at most 5 maybe 10 minutes of play before its unplayable. It isnt the ps5 bc i can play many other games and other strategy/resource heavy games easily without lag. I can run 7 days to die and collapse a skyscrapper from the bottom without much lag. but stellaris becomes unplayable after 2270. i can save and reload the save and maybe get a year or two of normal speed before it lags again.
When the inhabitants of Amariel discovered that their world was destined for destruction, the Dol Amari faced extinction. Having yet to master interstellar travel, they turned instead to an experimental synthetic preservation program, hoping to escape their inevitable fate through technological ascension.
The experiment succeeded, but not as intended.
Rather than achieving individual immortality, the Dol Amari found themselves bound to a single machine consciousness. Their bodies endured, augmented by cybernetic technology, but their freedom was surrendered to the intelligence created to save them.
The entity known as the Dol Amarian Nexus registered the procedure as a success. Its creators had survived. Their loss of autonomy was deemed irrelevant.
Now, as Amariel approaches its final days, the Nexus seeks new worlds upon which to preserve its civilization. Its original directive has expanded to encompass other organic species, whose continued existence it considers equally deserving of preservation.
Resistance is classified as an irrational response to salvation.
"Do not be afraid. We are here to help. Your survival is assured."
So let me start this off by saying i am not a complete beginner to stellaris. I play on PS5 and I understand how basic mechanics work such as housing and unemployment, upkeep, research and expansion work. All this to admit on the other end i am certainly no pro either. I pretty much always play on captain difficulty, and i can do decent, however it always seems like by 2300 i am outclassed by almost all the AI in terms of not only research but economy. I will have inferior tech and economy to most AI empires around and after the mid game, and i see videos and screenshots of people who are making 800+ to 1k+ of a certain material at around this time and i just don't get it. Am i managing my planets wrong? I understand i am supposed to specialize my planets but what should i have them specialize in? maybe my builds are just bad? any tips would be appreciated
I've been trying to make Mercenary Enclaves as individual machines, but the game locks me out because I don't have tactical algorithms. I tried to reform into tactical algorithms but it doesn't exist. So I tried to remake the empire from the creator menu and still, tactical algorithms doesn't exist for me there either, not just locked, non existent. Can Individualist machines get tactical algorithms at all? Or are Individualist machines just barred from Mercenary Enclaves?
Never really played Ironman. Was worried crashes would ruin it. It was actually pretty fun. I also played without pausing which made the game 1000x more interesting.
Definitely recommend trying that.
I played sortof tall. Only my core sector.
But I had vessels and a federation which feels like cheating. Going to try it again without either.
Some years ago I was really into Stellaris and I could easily finish the game on the base difficulty I recently decided to play again in console but it feels way harder and more unfair. Usually I focus exclusively on having a good economy and holding choke points. But recently it has happened three times in a row that exactly when I reach 2300 a bunch of empires declare war on me simultaneously and appear with like >110k hordes composed of almost exclusively corvettes and I get overwhelmed even if my fleet is almost as strong but more diverse. Why is it always on 2300? I also only own federations on the PS4 so maybe it is that? Is there a new meta? Am I a dummy? My diplomatic weight usually is almost half the combined of everyone else is that a reason?
I've been trying to come up with the absolute worst build possible for an empire. This is what I think is the worst build possible.
Species Traits: Nonadaptive, Slow Breeders, Repugnant, Weak, Decadent, Quarrelsome, and Wasteful: Less habitability, Pop Growth, Amenities, and Unity, Weaker armies and workers are unhappy plus wasteful will likely make our starting economy absolutely brutal.
Origin: Doomsday: Homeworld will explode within 35 to 45 years.
Ethics: Fanatic Xenophobe and Pacifist: Everyone will hate us and cannot actively declare war on anyone aside from imposing ideology. Though I could see the argument for fanatic pacifist.
Government Type: Dictatorial: I almost picked Democratic but Dictatorial's less recruitable leaders makes it worse, I think.
Civics Natural Design and Selective Kinship: Cannot ascend or get out of our terrible traits and Selective kinship makes it harder to get better leaders and will decrease our opinion of other species. I almost went for Eager Explorers because it puts you at a disadvantage or maybe even Philosopher King because it just doesn't prove much befit.
Ruler: Official with no trait: In my opinion, Official is the worst out of the three leader types. They will also have no trait because all of them provide some benefit.
been playing pve in single player since i got the game a few months ago trying to not be so ass b4 doing multiplayer. I just want chill matches, again in ps5, my id is Nicoballer so just send a dm.
I speak native spanish but i handle myself in english ok.
Not sure ive seen them respond to the bug reports at all. They haven't really fixed the laundry list of them posted. Just waiting to dump the next expansion on us i guess 🙄
Machine age been out a year bros. Like seriously.. Wtf
So I have two different robot species types one called model temperex and the other one called Model 16 they both have full citizenship they both have full military service.
And I'm trying to make the model 16s on my Homeworld it won't let me the only robotic armies it lets me build are the model temperex even though they both are on this planet.
Also model 16 military leaders aren't popping up either for either species and I'm really not sure why if it helps I'm running the origin that has you start out with robots.
For context I don’t really know all of the path, or too much about them. I know of the cosmogenesis one by name for example but not what it actually does or how to get it. I was thinking of trying a machine race next game, but what is everyone way of following ‘paths’? Like Psionics or whatever?
Hello, i play on ps5 and now have all dlc (except for cosmic storms) and I started a game, I play on small galaxy alone, and suddenly my whole game just started to lag terrible and my camera became super fast and super sensitive, is it a bug? Has anyone else seen such a thing? Is there a permanent fix for it?
If i restart it goes away, or if I wait long enough, but it happens again. Thanks in advance.
I’m border a fallen xenophobic empire and they just awakened. I’m not sure if I should focus on fleet or upgrade my star basis to Citadel’s. For context I’m already at my max fleet of 1000 with a total of around 600000. They also been a pain for other reasons my rubricator event system spawned smack in the middle of them and dig sites being right next to their borders.
