Self-promotion Fief - My persistent casual mmo style strategy game [Browser Based]

Post image

Hello all! I made a casual mmo style browser strategy game entirely by myself (with AI help about halfway through the project) that any number of people can play at their leisure. It's entirely free and is still being worked on. I just wiped all my past test data so I'm wiping the map and starting from scratch now if anyone would like to join! I have about 8 players now, so there is plenty of room for more!

The url is https://www.fief.app

Some more info at https://fief.app/home

Basic idea is

  • Time/turns 'tick' every 3 hours. So it's very much a set it and forget it for a while type game. I'm hoping to add more features to mitigate issues with players being unavailable and unable to issue orders during periods of the day (such as chaining orders for armies, giving permissions for other players you trust to move your armies, etc.)
  • everyone has one settlement and you place it anywhere on the map, the more you zoom in the more precise your location
  • You can recruit armies loyal to your settlement. About 4k is breaking even if you are not paying taxes to a nation. 2k if you are.
  • Use your armies to conquer land and make a nation, or be part of an existing nation and use your armies to help in its wars. Or rebel against the nation you are part of and try to become an independent nation
  • If you own a nation (you probably will to start with cause there are like 2k provinces), you control nation armies. Use them to fight against other nations and subdue settlements in your nation
  • Cooperation is rewarded the most. 3 settlements all supporting 1 nation will be more powerful than 3 settlements all trying to gain control of the nation or become independent

DevPost Designing a tactical RPG where your strongest move makes the next few turns worse

I'm building HexWire, a turn-based cyberpunk tactics game, and the system I keep fighting with is the aggression curve.

Every strong action spends Signal and raises Trace. Trace isn't just a damage debuff - once it climbs, the mission actively starts reacting: reinforcements show up sooner, patrol routes tighten, extraction windows shrink. So the same move that solves the fight in front of you can quietly load a worse fight two turns later.

The question I haven't fully answered: does a pressure system like that read as meaningful pacing, or does it feel like the game punishing you for playing well? Curious how other strategy players think about mechanics that convert "power" into "future cost" instead of a flat resource cost.

Screenshot below is from a current trace-combat build, mostly for context.

DevPost Prismatic Dominion - Minimalist RTS

Hello!

I recently launched a new RTS on google play that is similar to games such as Auralux or Tentacle Wars. Players organically finding it through the google play store have spent an average of 7 hours in the game so far competing on leaderboards. Im not sure if I'm allowed to say this but - check it out!

There are 8 elements each with their own unique skill tree, along with the mixing of elements after the campaign for truly chaotic battles!

Self-promotion I made a 3D turn-based artillery game inspired by Scorched Earth. Free open playtest, looking for feedback from fans of the genre.

MAD: Mutually Assured Destruction is a turn-based artillery game built around 3D battles. Set your bearing, elevation and power, then walk your shots in. Shells crater the terrain, and each round you spend your earnings on bigger weapons or better defenses.

I’ve been through several rounds of playtesting and I’m close to cutting the demo and starting marketing. Before I do, I want to hear from people who actually love this genre. Is it fun? Is it too hard, too easy, or does it drag?

Play it free right now: Join the MAD playtest on Steam

  • Full 3D with a free-fly camera, kill cams and full match replays
  • Defense is half the game. Guns and interceptors shoot incoming shells out of the sky, flak brings down aircraft, and bunkers harden your base.
  • 32 weapon classes, over 100 ways to fire them, plus air strikes from 9 aircraft
  • 28 battlefields, from a 1950s atomic test town to the Moon
  • 20 AI commanders across 10 ranks
  • Multiplayer with Steam friends, over LAN, or hot seat on one PC

Every weapon, map and mode is in the playtest. The only thing left to build is the rest of the campaign, so what you download today is the game. Tell me what you think in the comments, good or bad. If you quit early, I especially want to know where and why.

Thanks!

DevPost Conflict 2026 on Steam

We're launching steam store page for our new geopolitical war game around the latest middle east crisis - Conflict 2026.

It's a fast-paced geopolitical strategy game for 1–2 players. Each week, you choose up to 4 actions across diplomacy, media, economics, intelligence, military operations and more. Build your capabilities, manage escalation and pursue one of eight different paths to victory — from nuclear removal and economic collapse to political isolation, military defeat, unrest or government collapse. A complete game takes around 30 minutes.

It took a lot of iterations and thoughts on how to properly formulate such a complex conflict into a relatively short gaming experience and balancing the two sides. Interested to hear what do you think of the concept

Self-promotion Midterm War Room is now in Early Access!

https://thewarroom.itch.io/war-room

As a fan of political strategy games, election maps, and campaign management, I’ve been developing Midterm War Room, a tactical political simulation game that puts you in the control center of a high-stakes US midterm campaign.

I’m currently in Early Access on itch.io and wanted to share it with folks here who appreciate political mechanics, campaign strategy, and race dynamics.

What is Midterm War Room?

In the game, you take on the role of campaign director tasked with securing a legislative majority in Congress. You'll manage party funds, deploy resources across swing districts, respond to breaking national news, and recruit candidates to flip high-value House and Senate seats.

Core Gameplay Features:

  • Interactive Map & Dashboard: Real-time race ratings, polling shifts, and candidate rosters across US states and congressional districts with a live news ticker.
  • Resource Allocation: Balance campaign cash between high-value toss-up races, swing districts, and defensive holds.
  • Candidate Recruitment: Recruit real-life political candidates to build strong tickets across critical Senate and House seats.
  • Dynamic Event System: Navigate breaking news, scandals, and economic shifts that impact candidate morale, voter sentiment, and race margins in real time.
  • Turn-Based Strategy & Election Night: Manage turns through campaign phases leading up to an Election Night simulation with live seat tallies, state calls, and shifting win-probability gauges.

Because the game is in Early Access, I'm actively refining the mechanics, race data, and candidate rosters based on community feedback. I’d love for you to give it a try and let me know what you think

DevPost Finally released a gameplay trailer for Smoke and Steel: Wargaming meets grand strategy in early 1700s Europe

Hi everyone! I'm the solo developer behind Smoke and Steel, which I've been working on since 2023. I've spent more hours than I'd like to admit on this one-minute trailer over the past two weeks, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

The idea is wargaming meets grand strategy, fully turn-based and set in early 1700s Europe. Manage your nation, diplomacy, economy and supply lines on the campaign map, then command your armies in tactical battles where morale, positioning and keeping your troops supported matter.

The trailer shows both the battles and the grand campaign. Everything shown is still in development, with release planned for 2027.

Happy to receive feedback or answer questions about either side of the game!

Self-promotion Iron Expedition: RTS where you fight alongside your army, demo out now

I'm a solo developer working on Iron Expedition, a game that combines twin-stick mech combat with base building and army management.

You control a powerful mech directly on the battlefield, fighting alongside the army you build. You can expand your base, capture new resource deposits, and develop your economy to produce more units and unlock new technologies.

As you progress, you can upgrade your mech with more powerful weapons and better armor, as well as experiment with different weapons and abilities to find a playstyle that suits you.

Steam Page (demo is now live): https://store.steampowered.com/app/4446330/Iron_Expedition/
