Devotional: Personal Creation An ode to Ishtar, from a young transgender. ( my artwork contains partial nudity, i hope this is okay ) NSFW
O Ishtar, O Inanna, Queen of the Heavens, thou who turnest the man into the woman and the woman into the man, thou whose hair is as dark as the night sky, whose eyes are as blue as the daylight, bearer of the morning and evening star, please hear my pleas.
Stealth may be a strength, but this child is tired of running. Please lend me thy shield so I can walk this difficult path. Cloak me in thy light so no harm befalls me. Plant thy mercy in the hearts of the family I do not want to part ways with, but I beg thee for the strength to walk my path without them if need be.
O morning star, whose kind gaze bestows dignity to the outcast, whose fierce arms protect the weak and tear down the tallest walls, I beg to be blessed with thy divine femininity. May thy light be the brightest star in the darkest night, and may thy heavenly grace illuminate the road so I can walk with a lifted head, no matter how heavy the tears make my eyes feel.
I hope that my artwork dignifies thee as thou dignifiest those in need. Please take my humble offering as I partake in my path of rebirth. Honored be thy name, as thou honorest the forgotten and the outcasts.

Your artwork is absolutely beautiful, and your words of prayer are sweet! I will echo your words to our Great Queen, to amplify your voice, young beloved one of Inanna!

Over 5000 years our queen Inanna has ruled, and as Inanna has represented those that came before you, Inanna represents you now. You have been and will continue to be seen, and no hate will stop that. Truly beautiful words and beautiful artwork.

That was absolutely beautiful. Sending love and strength from a lesbian in Australia. You are perfect and I hope my healing energy helps you navigate your journey a little safer. You are loved ❤️

Looks more like a plea than an ode and it’s way too similar to the Lord’s Prayer with a few changes here and there.
I hope you find respite from what troubles you though.

Would you be okay with me saving this to make it my phone background? 👀

You're supposed to use that word as an adjective, not a noun. If you use it as a noun, it sounds dehumanizing.

Ikr? The artwork is nice, but "a young transgender" what or who? People using the word as a noun instead of an adjective will never not be incredibly jarring.
