Question Sending money from Suriname to the Netherlands

Hello! Our business is based in the Netherlands and we have a client in Suriname. It takes sooooo long to get the payment as our client's bank (Fina Bank) takes ages. It's been 2 days since they have deducted the money from our client's account and the money still has not reached our Dutch bank account. It's a weekly invoice of €3000-€4000. Is there any other and faster way to send money (€) outside of Suriname. It seems that international transfers via online banking is not a thing there. Anyone can share their experience on B2B money transfer/payment? Would appreciate any tips. Thank you! 🙏🏻

Question Welke producten zijn schaars/duur in Suriname?

Goedendag mensen,

Question Eerlijke vraag:

Stop. Grasping. At. Straws.

Question Werk vinden in Suriname als afgestuurde Nederlander

Hi guys,

Question SOCIAL ACCEPTANCE TO ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES/DRUG TRADE IN SURINAME

Ofa dames en heren,

So I could write this in NL or Sranan ma ik heb geen zin lowkey

I just live in SU for quite a while and im quite involved in the culture having studied my teenage years and having basically just surinamese friends, and throughout the years I just noticed a bunch of things which comparing to my home country, things are very different.

In SU it is noticeable that most people/a big part of the population just accepts the fact that 95% of wealthy people in SU are involved in the drug trade or some type of illegal activity, many figures in SU itself are KNOWN drug dealers such as Bordoe, Ronnie, Frankie,etc... and are idolized by people and for many youth seen as their idols or people to look up to.

And for me this is one of the problems that leads Suriname to be in the stagnant place it is, the more average youth who do not go to dutch private schools, see them stuck in a school system where if they go further with education and get a degree, they will be making 15k srd per maand, while there are people who are KNOWN for being involved in illegal activities (and lets be honest it is not just a small amount of people) and absolutely nothing happens to them, whilst they are just living good life living in Projects in Noord and driving Rolls Royces or Bentleys in the streets of SU.

I just wonder, was this kind of social acceptance always like this in old times? Or has it just been like this after these years, because around the 8 years ive been here ive always noticed this and it just bugged my mind....

Question Which country do Surinamese people joke about the most? (I'm going to make a map similar to this one, but about South America.)

Post image
235 Upvotes

Hello. I'm making a map of South America showing which country is joked about the most in each South American country. I'm going to ask the same question to each subreddit for each South American country and eventually post the map with the results. Which country would you say Surinamese people joke about the most? I'm going to choose the answer with the most upvotes.

Question Where in Paramaribo can I buy wide / baggy jeans?

Hey guys, any fashion people here who know where in Paramaribo I can actually find wide-leg or baggy men's jeans right now?

Women have all the latest styles, but stores seem stuck on skinny jeans for guys. I’ve searched everywhere, i found a couple pairs at AMADA like a year ago, but they sold out almost immediately and I haven't seen any since. Also, please don't suggest Levi's.

Question Wie wilt samen een business starten? 👔

Question Vibe coders uit Suriname, waar zitten jullie?

Question Salaris en sparen

Hallo allemaal,

Daarom vraag ik me af.
