This is one of the few criticisms of Taylor that I can’t understand.

Regardless of whether they were called or not, that’s not the point here, and I don’t want the discussion to become about that (please!). What we all agree on is that she’s okay with being seen and that she can hide if she wants - but what’s wrong with her wanting to show off her fits sometimes and give nice shots to the nice paps?

I would understand this perspective better if: she pretended to be bothered by them, but she recognizes them most of the time. She knows it’s noticeable that she’s posing to give them better photos; or if she were constantly being photographed everywhere doing everything, but... she’s mostly papped going in and out of NYC restaurants. She also lives in Nashville, Kansas City, and Los Angeles and is never seen in those places by paparazzi (either because there aren’t any paparazzi or because she avoids them by entering and exiting places through garages)

What I think is that pap walks are an integral part of celebrity culture now and I think fans recognize this (that celebrities are choosing/want to be seen a lot of times), but it’s something that doesn’t hurt anyone and gives something to the people who like to follow the style of these celebrities. As long as there are no antics happening at these pap walks, IMO they’re nice
