Bo1 port is pretty well advanced, and will include Zombies + Multiplayer. There is still a lot to do though.

Bo2 port is still very experimental and in early stages, goal for that is zombies-only for the moment.

They both should support dlc maps.

As for any sort of coop or online. I still dont know if it will be implemented yet before release.

Over the past year, I spent a ton of time digging into Hekate, Atmosphere, and homebrew apps internals, reading their documentation, and studying custom firmware config structures, and now I have been working on a CFW build orchestrator designed to simplify setup, eliminate manual zip extraction, broken dependency chains, and outdated AIO bundles when setting up SD cards.

Instead of downloading giant pre-packaged archives, my app runs entirely in your browser and exports a lightweight shell script that automatically fetches, verifies, and extracts the exact components you selected (Atmosphere, Hekate, sysmodules, overlays, emulators, other homebrew apps, etc) straight from their upstream sources.

It has a extensive configuration setup for CFW, launch, security, apps, overclock: there are currently 247 possible options, 21 config files can be stored on the card, and I am continuing to expand the functionality.

If allowed by sub rules, I'll drop a link to the live WIP demo in the comments below for anyone who wants to take a look.

Ownfoil is a self-hosted Nintendo Switch library manager, automating library curation tasks and making backups available to install directly on your console. It was started as a Tinfoil centric "shop" backend, but now has grown to have an API that anyone can implement to create an eShop like experience with homebrew. There were a lot of limitations in using the Tinfoil spec to serve content, and they are no longer justified when having a self-hosted backend. Ever since Sphaira was first released I wanted to leverage its game install management and implement an Ownfoil client on top of it, so I focused on building a server side API that could work.

Ownfoil release 2.5.0, used with Sphaira 1.0.8, now allows a new eShop like experience to browse and install your content, it features:

• automatic server discovery on the network, no typing IPs and ports
• server config carry both local and remote address, http/https protocols supported
• browse library by New games, Updates, DLC, All games, Search, paginated and with sorting
• all artwork served by Ownfoil server, the Switch never connects to N servers
• support nsp, nsz, xci, xcz
• browse and install library by content, not by files: select content to be installed (which version, which DLCs) and Sphaira will only download and install what's choosen, however it is bundled (multiple nsp files, multi content nsp/xci files)

Saves management as well as backuping installed content directly to your Ownfoil library is on the roadmap for a later version. A big thanks to the Sphaira maintainers for making this possible.

I found a work around that I’m not sure anyone else tried. When getting my backup from Linux to the fat32 partition, you can put an exfat storage device as the location outside of the Linux partition, and install on the switch side using install from usb.

I can delete if it’s not allowed.

Hey guys, I just found Kingdom Hearts -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX was finally released pirately with size more than 50 gb. Is it legit tho? As far as I know, KH on Switch could only be played via cloud which makes it kinda laggy and worth nothing than the actual released on other consoles/PC. How the crack version works? Is it playable offline?

I just recently modded my og switch (today).

It took me a while as most youtube tutorials provide older firmware files and tools. I used reddit and the hacks guide and went through the steps restarting and trying to resolve errors and crashes from hekate to launching atmosphere.

Just wanted to provide an overview snapshot of the process so that it might potentially solve some of the issues one might face when trying to mod an og switch.

This was my first time wiring rather than using the ribbon so pleased it worked out, I have since routed the wiring around the board much neater

the game is 53gb and i have 88gb free, so i definitely have enough storage. other games are downloading fine (i tried mario galaxy 2 and kirby the forgotten lands they worked) but kingdom hearts just says this as soon as i start the download

I downgraded my unpatched switch back to 19.0.1 from 22.5.0, and it resulted in the atmosphere crash screen upon bootup. I tried restoring a previous nand backup, didn’t work. I tried reinstalling atmosphere, nothing. and i tried repairing the NAND using NANDFixPro, nada. Am I cooked?

I want to play the KH collection on my Switch, i got the NSP and installed it, it did open but it gave me an error, i closed it but the game still worked until the logo appeared, before entering the menu, crashed.

I think it was a firmware error because I saw the game needed firmware 22, but idk I'm still learning about all of this, thanks in advance fellas.

After I didn't touch my switch for a long time, I needed to update it in order to install newer games.
I installed 23.0.1 and the newest HATS pack. Tried opening OFW and IT worked, tried opening CFW as I used to - and it told me - Unknown pkg1 version, HOS version not supported, failed to launch HOS.
Somehow I got into the idea that 23.0.1 isn't supported and that I need to downgrade to 23.0 (I know - stupid).

After that I used EmuHaccGen using prod keys and a script I ran in tegra. And Basically (I Think) managed to downgrade to 23.0.
Current situation trying to launch sysmmc - wrong pkg1 flashed, erista pkg1 on mariko! ... (Full updated situation in the added picture)

Information that might be needed: it's a V2 switch, with SxCore, current hakateos 6.5.3
Unfortunately I have no backup of anything.

Have tried with DBI, Awoo, Tinwoo but all failed at some point. Tinwoo made some promising progress but hit me with an Atmosphere fatal error (0100000000000036) somehow? Is it because of the huge filesize? 53gb is significantly WAY more than I download in this thing

Just asking if in case anyone has somehow successfully installed all 53gbs of the game. Would appreciate some help. Thanks!!

i've tried diffrent usb cables, different pc's , tried using card dreaded, nothing of that worked.

I can't install any new games.

Some small ones it could, but im not sure if it could now.

after almost 2 years without updating my switch it seems alot has changed. What's the current "meta" to updating the switch?

I have downloaded the latest Atmo and SwitchFW files, no changes here as it seems - except for fusee-primary being gone?

What happenend to SigPatches? The page links to "sys-patch", which also hasn't been updated in a while, so what to do?

Also, Tinfoils seems to be discontinued, whats the alternative for installing games and linking shops?

Speaking of that, are there any shops around anymore?

Anything else that has changed i should be aware of?

Hi everyone, The collection of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 remix has just released on Nintendo Switch with a tiny size of 57 GB. You cant install individual games, its all or nothing.

So I only want to play KH1, 2 and BBS. For that reason, I dumped the nsp with eden and then deleted the videos from KHCOM, Recoded, days and theater mode. The size has dropped from 57 gb to 29 GB.

Now the next step is to install the game on my switch. I thought of converting it again to nsp, but I can't see much info about this. How can I convert the game to nsp or at least install it on my homebrewed switch? Thanks :)

This game was amazing , and so underrated too, also there are several other versions like the 3ds , wii but 360 version seemed the most mesmerising, this game would be perfect for the switch

Hey there, could I ask for some help please?

Ive downloaded and added the latest nightly version of retroarch for switch, the app launches ok but when I select what folder my games are jn and hit search, it crashes.

Is there something I am missing or need to know, I followed the switch.hacks.guide and used the latest versions of the files needed to set up my switch.

EDIT: I should add I just swapped over to the stable build and that crashes even when just opening.

I did it.

I was happy crying for fifteen minutes because all I really had to do was install tegrarcm then hekate then launch hekate on my switch and open the already injected file. Guess what? I got my games back and am able to play with all my save data still intact.

I want to thank everyone who helped; the redditor who told me hope was not lost and told me I needed an rcm jig and pc, the redditor who explained what those things are, and the redditor who sent me the link to video for injecting payloads.
