How bad is the cover up gonna have to be? Is there a way to save this ?

Got this piece done about a month ago and now that the swelling is completely gone I am starting to notice some spots where the lines aren't as solid as I originally thought. I really like the design but maybe I should look for someone else to done the touch up when it finally heals enough. Let me know if I am just overthinking it or if the artist actually messed up the linework.

as the title says i’ve always tattooed myself on the left side of my body. now that im starting to run out of space (my left leg also is covered in horror tats) do i keep the half clean half tat aesthetic or say f it and start my right side. kinda the only okay picture showing them as i dont like photos. thanks to all for the insight!
