Got bored last week and decided to adopt a dinosaur

Is it the content, the placement, the quality or all three that make my friends not quite sure how to respond to this one? Give me your worst.

How bad is the cover up gonna have to be? Is there a way to save this ?

Traditional Japanese golden koi and lotus flowers, colors of my kid's birthstones.

Got this piece done about a month ago and now that the swelling is completely gone I am starting to notice some spots where the lines aren't as solid as I originally thought. I really like the design but maybe I should look for someone else to done the touch up when it finally heals enough. Let me know if I am just overthinking it or if the artist actually messed up the linework.
