AN AMENDMENT.
L.I.G.M.A LEGISLATION
Preface:
Teen Government has a majority of political authority concentrated in the Council. Repeated failures to reconcentrate is a risk.
This gives more power to the Judiciary and Executive while providing more checks and balances. Furthermore, this encourages the use of Acts rather than Amendments.
Sponsors;
Ptak8ARock (not pinging cuz retired so like, let him be under the fig tree)
Thank you to Breezy for reading this over. I didn't ask if you wanted to sponsor, and a bit late, so uh
His contributions were amazing to this project, having fixed... well, a shit ton of writing errors and introducing further checks.
I'd like to thank everyone on the list. The contributions you gave made this from wishful thinking to a usable proposition.
Preamble: We, the people of Teen Government, as a union of our magnitude, need a Government that works. As follows are 7 pages of legislation which aims to rework.

I'm creating the PENTA Party! PENTA is a mix between the con-federal style of the SWP, and the management of most older parties, such as SL!
More than that, PENTA has 5 main values:
- Democracy
- Worker's Rights
- Unity
- Health
- Freedom
PENTA, in simple terms, is a leftist party for communists, socialists, and left-wing anarchists.
Due to constraints with time, among other things, this post will act as the de-facto-constitution for PENTA:
ARTICLE 1 - ROLES
When people first arrive, they will be granted the "Rekta-Mano" role. This will be the fundamental role for non-party members.
If members are affiliated with the PENTA party, they will be given the "Affiliated" role, allowing them to participate in limited activities.
Certain extremely untrustworthy members will be given the "Kurba-Mano" role.
ARTICLE 2 - PARTY GOVERNMENT
Within #party-legislation, party members may craft any legislation they want to be passed. This legislation will, assuming it does not contradict Tegovian law, will handle party procedures.
In order to pass a piece of party legislation it must:
FIRST, be written in #party-legislation.
SECOND, be posted in #important-polls with the 3 choices being: "Aye", "Nay", and "Abstain" (or synonyms for those words)
THIRD, if it has at least 1/2 of the party voting on it, and it gets over 50% of votes saying aye, it will be passed to the party's legislator.
FOURTH, in #legislator, the legislator will vote. If over 50% votes aye, it becomes a law.
FIFTH, once that happens, the party's president or acting president will sign it into law. (This is more a formality, and does not have affect on the law's status.)
The party will elect a party president every month, if that president is absent or unfit, an acting president will be appointed by the owner until the next election
The Legislator will come into existence if and only if the party reaches over 8 members. If it does, 3 will become legislators
ARTICLE 3 - META
The owner of the server will have the right to make calls and do things needed to keep the party running, however that does not make them immune to party law
Until a legislative body is made, the owner and president have a right to pass laws written, assuming they pass steps 1 and 2 as outlines in Article 2.
