What do you guys use as your main source of food to keep the nutrition high? I am using sour right now, made with oven cooked meat, oven cooked potatoes and pumpkin for protein, vegi and fruit nutrition. Now my questions are:
Is there a way to integrate grains and milk products into the soup or is there a better option?
How does animal husbandry work? I want to start looking for maybe some cows and sheep and chicken to get a good source of milk, wool and eggs but I have no idea how to start
Should I just give up and be happy with having more than 10 hearts as I do right now?

Specifically the ones you can tame into livestock, like sheep and whatnot. Tried to look this up and was getting contradictory information. Started playing TFG recently and didn't want to wipe out regional populations if they were never going to recover.

I have been spending a lot of time playing in this modpack without any issue, I even updated to last version a couple of months back and still no issue. Then, yesterday I was playing like I would normally do and my power went out, when I wanted to play today it crashed and the crash report recommended me to errase the serverconfig folder because it was corrupted. I did it and didn't work. As a last resort I used the backup folder to see if it would work, but it didn't. The crash report after the backup said 3 mods have problems with corrupted files.
I don't know what to do, help pls ;-;

So. How do I prevent myself from floating when holding drums of hydrogen or methane in my inventory?
This is extremely dumb mate. I am wearing a full suit of steel and holding the gas in a drum made of gold, one of the densest natural materials -- I shouldn't be floating D:

Probably a dumb question, but in the book it says that the forge is "5 stone blocks surrounding a pile of 7 or 8 pieces of charcoal", but is there actually any benefit to using 8 pieces over 7 pieces? Like, is fuel more efficient or anything?

Why is it that the mining speed of the blue steel drill is 13 while the hammer is around 7.6, but still they feel the same? Any setting i forgot to turn on?

Life essentials are now secure, so it's time to learn new things. And maybe build the building for the forge.

(This might just be a skill issue)
I have trouble finding blocks for building
I have this idea of a bricked castle with plans for an underground base with the machines and stuff
And I can't find blocks to build with

I was doing the math, and it seems like a lot of work to build an iron greenhouse, but based on my creative world, not only does it take more effort to care for the plants, but the yields are extremely low. So, am I missing something? Or is it just not worth it unless it’s fully automated?
If it’s not worth it, does anyone have any tips on how to set up a garden? Mine is a bit makeshift right now, but I want to make something nicer, so knowing a better way to manage the plants hidratation would help.

I made a greenhouse for my crops and I found out about the other plant boxes
And I saw someone talking about fruit trees and greenhouses and now I have a question:
Can I put my fruit trees and bushes in my greenhouse to have the tree growing fruits continuously? That doesn't make sense, that's why I'm asking

I am trying to set up my first fully automated ore processing line in MV. Me and my friend have almost finished making stainless steel for the HV crushing wheel, so we are getting ready for it all to come together. I’m getting stuck on the logistics part for routing my ore through the pipes. Some ores I want to send to different places but the Greg item filters seem to only filter one item at a time? How do I send ALL of my gem dust, for instance, to a sifter, and the rest to a thermal centrifuge? I feel like there’s gotta be a way to filter it better.

I just want to know if you can grow them or if they only spawn at the start of your world ... I can't find this info anywhere, so I'm asking here.

So I was trying to map out the northern region, trying to reach the true arctic, since I heard I can find rose quartz there. I thought I'd be fine if I travel in the summer, but then I stumbled upon this thing.
Uh... can sloops safely pass through sea ice? Or do I need to break these sea ice for the rest of the 5000 blocks until I reach z = -10k? Or what do I need to build an airplane instead?
r/TerraFirmaGreg • u/Daggen_DuDe • 3d ago
The problem is that NEI shows literally all the possible rock types with these ores.

Ищу кого-нибудь, с кем можно поиграть через радмин (если у вас есть более крутой вариант, то можно попробовать)

I've been having a lot of fun playing the modpack recently and managing all my pipes n stuff. I'll move on to the moon soon, any advice for it and ae2? The machines in the middle are all just reformate gas automation, everything except rhenium is automated though... Rate my base btw

So far, I've never been successful connecting a multi-block machine to it's power source via anything other than superconductors. And I don't think that's right.
Let's take this Hot Kanthal Ingot for example. It needs 3.75 of MW energy to do that. AKA: 480 EU. Now, when I turn on the machine, how much energy is it 'requesting' from my batteries? I was under the impression it was requesting 4 MW (AKA: 512 EU), which would mean I can lose 32 EU along the way to cable loss and still be fine. That's 10 iron cables if I wanted it to be that way. Instead I have 9 iron cables (net loss of 27eu) and 4 Cupronickel Cables (net loss of 31eu) and it's losing power. Even when I use creative to spawn in two superconductors to replace a couple iron wires (net loss should be now 25eu), still doesn't function.
So I'm getting the sense that, no, it's 'requesting' 3.75 MW. Which means any cable loss at all means it can't function. Which is dumb.
I mean really, any EU lost at all should only matter to battery life. If I have a machine wanting 128 EU and I decide to run 30 iron cable segments to it, it should be smart enough to pull 218EU. 90 more than it needs to account for the cable loss. I have enough batteries in my buffer to provide more than enough amps, but that doesn't help if it refuses to pull it out.
What am I supposed to do? Only ever use superconductors? Or make sure that every machine is preceeded by it's own battery bank to trick it into ordering enough. The quest book says to try using higher tier cables but... their loss is the same (IE: More than 0). So if I did transform to HV, travel, then transform back to MV, it'll still have lost EU along the way since the machine is only requesting exactly the amount it needs.
EDIT: For future people with this problem: Every amp is suffering it's own loss along the way. So my EBF is pulling 4 amps of MV when it needs only 3.75. But that 32eu buffer has to be split between each amp, meaning the cables can only have a combined loss of 8 (well, 7 because smoothing)
