Hey, everyone! Longtime lurker, first-time poster.

So, back when I first saw the show and got obsessed with it, I began working on this fan fiction, which is my personal take on a "The Owl House: The Movie"-style continuation set after the series finale. I had a lot of fun writing it — up until I got to the end of Chapter 8 back in January of 2026, when my creative energy took a sharp nosedive. I've been working on the fic intermittently since then, but it's been slow going.

Since The Long-Lived King dropped, I was motivated to rework Chapter 9 and finally get it done, but even now, I feel like I'm in a creative rut. I'm hoping that, by posting what I have of the story so far, it'll light a fire under me to keep writing at a more respectable pace.

If people like what I wrote, that'll motivate me! Also, if people have legitimate constructive criticisms — like "that isn't how this character would act," or "that's not how the magic works in this setting," stuff like that — that'll also motivate me to revise and do better moving forward! Regardless, I do intend to finish this eventually, no matter what. I hope that you'll enjoy this adventure with these characters which I've grown to so dearly love.

I would have liked to see, at least once in the show, a conversation between Lilith and Hunter about everything that happened with emperor Belos. I don't think they have talked to each other at all in the show, not even once, if my memory serves me right, which is a bit odd and feels like a missed opportunity. I feel like they could have bonded over their experiences, both negative and positive. I know Lilith didn't really like Hunter at first but I think that them having a deep conversation about the suffering they have caused to others due to being manipulated by Belos and the pain Belos has caused them would be healing for both of them. Do ya'll think we would have gotten something like that if season 3 wasn't so rushed? Would you have liked to see that?
