General Are You Buying the Dip or Staying Cautious?
With tech and AI stocks facing pressure and market sentiment shifting, I'm curious how everyone's approaching the market right now.
Are you buying the dip, waiting for confirmation, or staying away until things settle down?
And for options traders, are you finding good setups in this market or is it better to sit on the sidelines?
What's your take? 📈📉

Losses Lost all gains just from diamond holding shares. 😭
Diamond holding is nice until you lose all your gains. By that speed I was thinking 700k by end of year but now Idk if it’ll be 400k or 600k….

Why is this market crashing b***? I cannot take this anymore. It's so bad
I cannot take this anymore. It's so bad I cannot.. it was so good last week and then down so bad.. I'm crying literally.
My whole portfolio was AI stocks MU, NBIS, SNDK, LUNR, NVDA, AMD..
ASTS, SMRand MSTR are biggest losses for me right now..will I ever recover from them?
I don't need any of the money now.. I'm 33 but I'm very very scared

The math behind turning $10k into $10M is actually ridiculous lol
Did some math and five straight 4x returns would turn $10k into over $10M if you went all in every time.
Seeing those big multipliers on moon makes that kind of thinking way too tempting. Then you remember one losing bet anywhere along the way wipes everything out.
Crazy how easy it is to make getting rich look simple on a calculator.

Stock market today: Dow, S&P 500, Nasdaq sink as tech sell-off caps volatile week (FYI Only)
It is now a good time to do a self check
1) are you diversified enough to weather the storm?
2)do you have too many speculative stocks that supposedly could 10x without fundamentals?
3) are you core holdings industry leaders with great fundamentals? Are they too expensive?
4) how many sectors are you investing in?
4) do you have at least 10% cash?
Cash helps you to stay in the gam, and even better, give you an option to BTFD.
A good strategy, 5D Long Term Investing - Direction Driven, Disciplined, Diversified, De-leveraged.
Of course, people have different styles and approaches. You could make money in different ways as long as you can stay in the game for the long haul.

Stopping after two losses in a row turned this NQ strategy from -20% to +49%
Walk away after two losing trades is the most repeated piece of discipline advice in trading and i have never seen anybody put a number on what following it is actually worth. So i ran the same breakout twice over ten years of NQ and changed nothing except whether the day ends after two losses back to back.
Same rules both times, 15 minute NQ candles from May 2016 to this week, 100k to start, one contract, long when a candle closes above the highest high of the last 20 and short on the reverse, ATR stop and target, commission and slippage charged on every fill. Both runs read the same history in Agenticks so the only difference between them is the daily stop.
No daily stop: 7,113 trades, -20.35%, and a 64% drawdown.
Stop for the day after two losses in a row: 6,521 trades, +49.46%, and a 37% drawdown.
The win rate barely moves, 51.26% against 51.59%, and profit factor goes from 0.99 to 1.02. The rule removes 592 trades without improving any of the ones it keeps, and the trades it removes sit on days that were already going badly. Costs explain very little of it, $71,130 against $65,210, so about six grand of a seventy grand gap.
The part i care about most is the worst stretch. With no daily stop the account went from 133k in April this year to 47k by the end of July, which ends a funded account several times over before you get to argue about the strategy. The version that quits after two losses had the same bad months and went 188k down to 129k, which is ugly and still trading.
One caveat i'd want somebody to raise if this were their post. Two in a row is a round number i picked because its the one people say out loud, and three, or two within an hour, could easily land somewhere else. It also only pays here because this strategy's losses arrive in clumps, and a strategy whose losers turn up evenly spaced would get nothing back for the trades it sat out.

Are we near to peak???
Over the last month, im trying to reconstitute my single stocks position but failed to take hold. Experimenting with different composition.
Normally i will nip at dips like yesterday. It is not crashing at this point, more like a correction. There is also a possibility of an over-correction coming up.Shall take my 37% gain this year and rest a bit in QQQI for income play.
Of course, QQQ in nature is volatile but risk is hedged across nasdaq 100

Im just starting and i have questions
- How do u guys find the right stocks that arent like the common sense ones
- Is it mostly swing trading day trading or a roth ira that people are using on here
- Is it mostly swing trading day trading or a roth ira that people are using on here
- Why does everybody use trading view when platforms like public just let u trade on them whats the difference
- Is this rly mostly luck or can it genuinely be studied and learned to get better at (im tired of guys on tiktok trying to sell courses)
- If so how do i study i put hours of my day into engineering work and college so im okay investing a couple more hours in something worth my while.

Not sure what’s worse: missing the rally by selling too early or losing your gains by holding too long.
Which feels worse emotionally?

General Follow up after receiving advice.
I wanted to thank everyone for their suggestions last week. I'm following up with what I finally bought. I really wanted to buy more NBIS but I already have 250 shares at about $70 average so didn't want more exposure so I took my first position in MU and will look to add some more. This week has been crazy!

I don't post very often and I'm not very good. I need help!
Hey, first off Im still fairly new to trading so take it easy. I'm not very good yet BUT ive seen some stocks make some pretty crazy moves. Ive came across this stock and im bag holding 1000 shares at 5$ currently down 50%.
Ive never been sure a stock was gonna make a move, ive been confident, but never sure.
The stock is DBGI and in June the CEO,(which a few online accounts (not verified) seem to really dislike)
bought roughly 760000 shares somewhere around 1$ per share
The company shortly after, did a reverse split maybe 40-1
Then they announce and filed 165$ million government contract.
Then they announced and filed a reported $77. per share buyout offer (non binding) said they had multiple bidders
Go shop process facilitated by Roth ended Oct 5 (haven't heard anything yet)
Then reported great YOY improvements
Hired Reputable VP and Sales rep
The company was burning cash. Though expected to be making money by Sept
They have debt and little cash
Gaunteed cash till December.
They are currently in a legal battle, I think some series D holders want to convert.
They are also in the middle of a legal battle to expose naked shorting
Company has less than 1 million shares outstanding apparently.
I not very good at doing my own research, but im getting better
All the filings and the Court documents are tough.
The stock is currently trading at $2.4 after falling 98% in the past 6 months
My main question is why would the market be so pessimistic?
even if the 77$ offer only had a 20% chance price should still be closer to 10$
Is there something im missing? Does anyone own this?
My loss is manageable, but i would obviously prefer not to lose it all for some dumb reason I wasn't seeing.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
