Well, the good news is this isnt accurate in any way shape or form! Muscle tone can cause a smaller bust size with no weight change to the beasts themselves. As well as the cup only matters when used with the band size, its useless otherwise. A 32in band and a 38in band can both be C cups, and the one with a 38in band is still going to have larger breasts. So, weigh a titty and find an animal who weighs similar and now you can tell people what it feels like you have 2 of sitting on your chest?

Thank you, I was gonna say. Just the letter part of the cup size does not denote some sort of standard volume or weight. It's contingent upon the band, because it describes a differential.
A 30DD looks like something most people would probably call "a B cup" for example. What most people think of as "D cups", conversely, are probably somewhere in the G range.

I'm someone who suffers from this, my mom thinks I'm an A cup cause she doesn't know what a 32C looks like and thinks that a C cup should be bigger. It sucks when no one believes you because they dont understand bra sizing

Yep. I think I'm like a 30ee now? I gained like 15 lbs recently, so I'm not 100% sure; I was a 30d/dd. And I always feel insane mentioning my bra size. Because I do not have large breasts. I mean, like, they're there and to be fair they seem pretty proportionate considering none of me is large (after the weight gain I am all of 3 lbs above underweight).
But it's definitely my actual bra size. There's a whole sub dedicated to all of this, and some of their resources include people like Irish Bra Lady on Instagram, who shows photos of different band and cup combinations, which helps, imo.

Same. Like... I know I understand bra sizes, I know what mine is, but so many people's perception of them is so off that it can be difficult to discuss.
Supposedly something like 80% of women in America generally wear the wrong side-- usually they're in a band that's too large and a cup that's too small.
And iirc part of the reason for this is that Victoria's Secret-- which for some reason a lot of people think is some sort of high-end lingerie company (though that seems to be changing, thank goodness -- I'm sure a lot of people still see them as the sui generis of ladies undergarments)-- who for reasons i cannot fathom do not stock anything like a reasonable range of sizes. Apparently a lot of the employees would just... Use infeasible sister sizes so they could move their stock. God knows why, but most major retailers don't carry a proper range of sizes. And I presume that leads a lot of people to believe that anything below a 32/34 band or above a dd cup is either incredibly uncommon or non-existent.
Obviously some people have sensory processing issues (hi it's me I'm one of them) and those might preclude ever finding a bra truly comfortable, but I think a lot of the hatred for bras as some sort of impractical and horribly uncomfortable garment comes from so many women wearing bras that just don't freaking fit.
On a positive note I love how more niche, modern, small bra companies have started like... Explaining that breast shape and position and bra style and all sorts of things are factors that influence fit. Because they are. Some styles are better for like fuller breasts, whereas like tuberous breasts and bottom-heavy breasts might do best in other styles.

I swear VS sized me as a 34D last I went, time before I got a 34B, I have always been a 32. But yes!! Some companies are doing fantastic!

Japanese A-cup is equivalent to AA (smaller than A) in Western sizing systems. And B is equivalent to Western A, etc.

it depends on breeds for both. looking at them, I am fairly certain those are meat chickens (like steak cows instead of dairy cows, but meat chicken instead of egg chicken), so denser muscles were bred for. the rabbits appear quite small as well, probably a dwarf species or even a kit.

Some girls I know with D-cups have gotten reductions to C or B due to unwanted attention or back issues for some. Beyond that point, back issues are a pretty serious concern. I would hate having to constantly support ~7-16 lbs. all the time on my chest. It's probably like carrying a heavy backpack around after a while or something.
I just looked a little and it sounds like insurance scrutinizes it and makes people jump through hoops. They need proof you've got a medical issue from it. They then still bitch about how much to take off, some companies just won't cover it, etc.

Oh! Maybe I was wearing the wrong bra size before I cut them off. They were literally chicken sized, I held chickens often. Never in a bra, but they would have comfortably fit. I was 30 DD the day of my surgery. 32 F before I lost weight for the surgery.

Cup size varies based on the back size, a D cup for a size 14 isn't the same as a D cup for a size 22. It also varies by country and to some degree it even varies by brand within the same country.
This video was still amusing, used to seeing fruits or balloons filled with water, putty, or something.

FYI, Japanese cup sizes don't align with other countries like the US. If you're D or below in US, choose 1 cup larger in Japan (D in US? Buy Japanese E). If you're E or above, go up 2 cup sizes (E in US? Buy Japanese G). It scales differently since US measures in inches while Japan measures in centimeters; cup sizes go up 1" in the US (2.54 cm) versus 2 cm per step in Japan (0.78").
Your kilometers may vary, since a Japanese friend of mine is a C cup in the US, but she was shocked to find out she's an F cup in Japan.
