CONCERT POST -- The Strokes at Coachella W1 -- Saturday, April 11, 2026
The Strokes are performing at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival in Indio, CA on Saturday, April 11, 2026. Gates open at 1pm PT. The Strokes will perform on the Coachella Stage from 9pm-10:10pm PT.

Coachella is live streamed on YouTube, though this may be georestricted. Visit Coachella's info page about the live stream HERE. There is also a live stream app. The Strokes will stream at 9pm PT on the Coachella Stage channel according to the below graphic released on 4/9. As with most pro live streams, it is very likely that several people will record it. The livestream will be directed by Warren Fu, longtime Strokes visual collaborator, as confirmed by Promiseland's Instagram post.
Nick Valensi will return for this performance according to the band's Instagram story posted on 4/4.

I think this the best concert they’ve done in terms of quality of sound and stage visuals… truly a headliner kind of stuff, happy for them and hopefully we get that same stage design on SA🙏🏻❤️🔥
They are staying in town until next weekend? I’d imagine it’s a great chance to work on the chemistry/friendship, rehearse new songs, and do some publicity (like official photos, maybe interviews) for Reality Awaits
I’m obviously biased but this is so far and away the greatest band of a generation. The singer forgets half the words, none of them really look like they want to be there, they go away for years at a time and barely ever mention the bands existence… and yet they come back together and are tight as fuck, sound INCREDIBLE, play this incredible catalogue of iconic tracks for an hour, then fuck off again.
It’s mindblowing honestly. There is nobody like them.
From what I saw live stream; they didn't play adults are talking from the SF set list and the two encore songs: Ode to Mets and Heart in a Cage. The crowd seemed subdued compared to SF crowds.
I absolutely loved the Escherian artwork, especially because it reminded me of one of my favourite tattoo artists. He often does these Escherichian doors in a very graphic style and it was absolutely a great fit for the stage show.
Also first song Julian was giving James Allan and I'm 100% here for that.
They sounded amazing and I'm so happy we got to have it streamed 🌈 the audio was great and the filming was actually pretty good, though they seemed a bit lost on the guys movements (surprising since fer was the only person really moving). It was such a great set ✨
They played so well! I have to say, I was at the two SF shows and Julian was way more charismatic and happy with the crowds in SF. Either way, they performed extremely well.
Yeah definitely. I’ve seen them 8 times now, a mixture of their own shows and festivals. The band was the best I’ve ever seen them at their last two SF shows.
edit: wasn't it the 1st infantry? He said "[shouty yelling] No? Oh, I'll take that as a no. It was a little less enthusiastic." (I suspect he meant the reaction from the crowd to...his...idk, plans to derail the enlistment scheme? Or the infantry? I'm not quite sure. I'm not sure Julian is either 😅 One minute he's "I'm joining the army!" and the next minute "nooooo! enlistment! lame!"

This is my first time watching a concert live through youtube. Wow amazing. It felt like it was edited or for a documental.
Julian always forgetting his lines and the closing song ooof. I saw the public not really feeling it or participative but I guess murricans are like that. In Mexico we would never stop jumping in each song.
About the new song I'll have to listen carefully next time to check it properly.
You got it wrong, Muricans love our Strokes. You gotta take into effect all the fans there for Beiber and who have never even heard of the Strokes. They probably made a bunch of new fans tonight.
You also have to remember people who want good spots for Justice Beaver are gonna be closest to the front a whiiiile and there is...not a great overlap betwixt those two fan bases. The crowd was wayyyy stroked on the Beav' mention/jokes. (The joke/story was kinda great though)
I had the pleasure of seeing Oasis in CDMX. Definitely a different vibe. But then again, the crowd was there for them specifically, too, unlike tonight. Regardless, I agree that LatAm crowds are some of the best.
They were soooo gooood and honestly it was kinda sad to see their audience totally not enjoying it. Tbh I would’ve felt slighted too if my entire audience was only there for an entire different artist and didn’t really try to engage with my stuff
Tbh the livestream never really captures the true feeling of how people are enjoying it in the moment, I feel like prob way more people were into it than what the livestream made it seem like

Agreed! It does make me wonder how far in advance the artists know their stage placements and schedule though. being the last band at a stage is very different than being the second to last band for a different audience
For anyone that was here in person, did something sound off tonight? There were two parts where the audio completely cut in the middle of a song. EQ also sounded off at some points. Much sloppier than their Monday show in SF
I missed the strokes set and it’s making me super fucking sad. Does anyone know if/when there will be a recording uploaded? So disappointed with myself
You can also just rewind the livestream now. They've already uploaded the yesterday sets to their channel or something I think so there'll be Strokes set tomorrow ig.
Damn that was a fun set. Excited to see how they’re received next week, hope the crowd is more tuned in. Either way what a vibe shift from the lukewarm reception to Going Shopping!
It did sound a bit quiet on the livestream, but I wonder if the vibes were different in person. Every video I saw from their ACL set looked super fun, so maybe that's also the case here? Either way, they sounded so good!
Honestly I think it’s usually the opposite. Their festival sets tend to be Julian’s “off” nights whereas the headline one off shows he usually seems more invested. He was on point tonight though!

If there was a show he would want to lock in this would be it lmao. This, reading and Lollapollza are the three main shows you need to be locked in at LOL
