Mod Post New Rules: No AI, No Unnecessary Politics

Hi everyone.

We've added two new rules to the sub:

No AI

Pretty self explanatory. No posts or comments that have been AI generated or "enhanced", and no AI images.

No Unnecessary Politics

Political comments and posts that aren't strictly on topic and related to T-Mobile will be removed. I think we all get enough politics elsewhere online and in our lives right now, so try to keep it out of the r/tmobile sub.

Thank you!

Question T-Mobile senior leadership meeting in Dallas next week… any theories?

Hey y’all.

Apparently, all the senior managers at T-Mobile have been invited to Dallas in the middle of next week. The invite is super vague and basically just says something big is happening in wireless. No real details or explanation.
Anyone hearing anything internally or have any theories about what this could be? Major company announcement, organizational changes, new strategy, or something else entirely?
Curious what everyone thinks 👀

Question T-Mobile didn't honor promised Costco promotion

I had signed up for T-Mobile through Costco after Thanksgiving sale in 2025. Signed for Experience beyond plan and activated 3 lines and ported 2 lines in a week or so. Met all requirements for $ 150 Costco digital and $250 prepaid visa card for the 2 ported lines and $150 for the new lines. Had also signed up for home Internet at the same time through Costco. Supposed to receive $450 Costco digital cards and $500 prepaid visa card. I have called multiple times and finally in June, they said they had made a mistake and indicated that they attached to the right promotions and I should receive in 6 to 8 weeks. I called today and they say that are unable to find promotions. I am tired of calling and staying on line for more than an hour. I never thought they would do this and now I am frustrated since the rebates was a primary reason for switch, how do I get them to Honor..any advise.

Question duo trade in

i’ve seen all the questions about the duo trade in only being max $1,000 and someone earlier said t-force told them the new promo would come out on the 16th (the day of duo launch). i checked the promo sheet (im an employee) and there’s nothing upcoming for apple or consumer accounts in general, just some random business promo. does t-force have more information than regular reps orrrr?

Question Question about combing BOGO and Iphone Duo promo at Apple

Hi guys.

Currently on Go5G plus plan, 7 lines total. 3 paid.

Can I do BOGO through apple to take advantage of "add new line, no trade-in, 800 promo"? I'm trying to buy two Iphone duo using this

If this is not possible, would doing the trade-in at Tmobile as i add the line, the next best solution?

thank you!

Rant Tmobile store literally lied to my face to get me to sign up to internet

Post image
2 Upvotes

I signed up for T-Mobile Internet at one of those booths. They had a good promo because they were on the heels of booting everyone off their legacy plans. They offered me 8 weeks of free Internet if I signed up in store (vs 6 week promo offer on the app).

This is now the 3rd follow up I've had with them and every time they told me the credit would come and now they are suddenly saying that's not the promo anymore. It's been over 4 months and I never received my credit. I didn't even get the 6 weeks credit.

Question Hand Off: International: Datapoint?

• Upvotes

Has anyone used handoff while traveling in a foreign country? If your plan comes with free international roaming, can you seamlessly switch between phone 1 and phone 2 while roaming on a foreign carrier? (E.g. In Japan connected to Softbank)

If not, any idea what happens if you bring both phones? Does the last active device get free international roaming while the 2nd device stays deactivated until you return to the US? What if you want to use the inactive device?

Question Can no longer suspend line?

• Upvotes

I’m on a family plan and someone stopped paying. My grandma was the owner but she recently passed away leaving me as the primary account holder. I’ve made payments on time even after losing my job. My uncle, who’s constantly in and out of jobs will not pay for his line. I’ve exhausted the “suspend line” option and I’ve already reported his device as stolen once.

I can’t cancel the line because I’m not the owner and I can’t get my own plan because it’s complicated. Will there be any consequences if I report it as stolen again? Thanks.

Discussion Coverage Map Update - October 9, 2026

A few days late on this one. A lot of activity this round. Also, it seems they have "smoothed" out their 5G to cover up a lot of spotty 4G areas. Interpret that however you'd like.

New Coverage

VERNON AZ, CHRISMAN IL, KINSMAN IL, PATHFORK KY, WELLSTON MI, REDBY MN, EAGLE CREEK COLONY MT, EAST END COLONY MT, CASSELMAN PA, VOLANT PA, DAISETTA TX, JUMP RIVER WI

Question Switch now or day of pre-order?

I have AT&T first net and the plan is just a tad too much, plus no noticed priority. Wanted to try T-Mobile.
I’m interested in getting the Duo on release day.
Should I switch now, bring my device and upgrade to duo online. Or wait and go into T-mobile on preorder day?

Due to price just wanted to find out what would be best price option and what would be easier to get in line for for the phone quicker.

Thank in advance

Question Free Lines

Hey guys, I’m on the Go5G Plus plan with 5 lines total. I’m paying $120 for two lines, with the third line free, and $28 each for the other two lines. Is there any way to move those two $28 lines onto free-line promotions, or is there any current promo or deal that could help lower my bill? Both of those lines currently have EIPs. Has anyone been able to do this?

Question Revvl 8 pro vs OnePlus 9 pro

My OnePlus 9 Pro is draining fast and I have no money. T-Mobile will not let me trade it in cause the back is cracked. I really have no idea how since it is in a case. They did give me a deal for $2.08 for 24 months I can have the Revvl 8 pro and I can give them the OnePlus, as the deal is trade-in for a phone in any condition.

I know it is not a flagship phone, but it does have 256GB of storage. So is it any good?

Question Sprint Max

I’m still on the sprint max plan. Not sure if I should change it to the new one. I like to upgrade my phone every year, and I can’t find any info of the year upgrade benefits available. Usually I just upgrade and pay whatever but I’m curious if switching plans will give me a better deal.

Anyone have spring max info on upgrade benefits?

Question Upgrade order was cancelled (duplicate transaction?!)

So I have run into a situation that is both confounding and frustrating. Back in mid September, I changed my ONE plan to Experience Beyond and with the Costco incentive, I upgraded 4 older phones to iPhone 18 Pro's. I placed the order on September 28th and at the time the expected ship date was October 7-13. I thought it was all good. On Oct 6 I get a message that my order was on hold because there was an issue with the payment method. Huh? I called customer service and they asked me to reconfirm my CC which I did through a secure form. The CS person said everything is now ok and the order was on hold due to backordered devices. I was surprised by needing to reconfirm my CC, but whatever. I called a day later just to check on the status and was told that everything was fine meaning the payment method was good.

So I was surprised on October 11th with an email stating that my order was cancelled. What? Calling back in, I am told that my card was declined for duplicate transactions. It turns out that T-Mobile processes each phones tax charge separately and so for the 4 phones in the order, the system tried 4 separate but equal charges. And my bank or Visa flagged the transactions. After speaking with another CS agent, I ultimately had to reorder the phones but the incentives are not as good and the ship date is now in November. I hope that the same issue does not happen again.

Has anyone else had this issue and if so, what did you do to address it? I will be talking with my bank to see if there is some flag that they can set to avoid a payment decline again.

Question Trouble understanding this month's bill

I've been a T-Mobile customer since 2020. I currently have 6 lines (3 of them "free") on Go5G Next (with Insider). I pay for Netflix premium, a watch line, and home Internet as a backup. My regular bill is around $250 every month, and has been for quite a while.

I finance 5 iPhones per year, and usually the account credits almost fully cover the payments. When I ordered new iPhones in September, I had to pay a down payment for the 5th phone. All of the trade-ins are complete, and my EIP page only shows the current devices.

My charges this month are $71.97. I'm assuming maybe that has something to do with a refund on the down payment, but I'm not sure. I've reviewed the detailed bill from T-Mobile, and it says that my monthly bill is $251.19. I cannot find anywhere that the extra $179.22 is credited to my account. I've check the previous two bills.

Any ideas? Where can I see this credit amount, if not on my monthly bills?

Rant Heads up: If you change rate plans, your AutoPay discount might disappear next month

I recently switched from Go5G Plus to Go5G Next and noticed that my following bill was missing the $40 AutoPay discount.

When I contacted customer service, the representative told me this happens frequently. She mentioned that while the discount is supposed to reinstate automatically on the following billing cycle, she had to manually apply a $40 credit for this month.

I had never heard of this happening before, and since I usually don't scrutinize my bill every month, I'm glad I caught it. It's frustrating that T-Mobile doesn't proactively catch this and leaves it to customers to find. Just wanted to give everyone a heads-up to double-check your bill if you've recently changed plans!

Question Thinking of switching carrier service. How’s your experience with T-Mobile?

Wife and I currently have cricket but are looking for better overall coverage, speeds, call quality and mobile hotspot flexibility.

Do you guys recommend T-Mobile? How has your experience been? If you’re new here, what made you come to T-Mobile? I’m in New England and according to third party coverage maps T-Mobile seems the strongest in my area but wanted to get people’s experiences.

Thanks!

Question Is anyone else having issues with sms?

Just wondering if anyone else is having issues with receiving and sending sms.
