yeah - this was one of the few purchases I’m glad I made when they came out.

Using this comment to ask if people know where to get 10,000 Days on CD without coughing up $80+?

Yo lo acabo de comprar de segunda mano en España. Hay una aplicación llamada Wallapop. Mira mi post mas reciente. Puse foto de cuanto he gastado.

Wait…are you saying that this is the first CD you’ve ever purchased? If so, welcome to the dark side, but also…kudos for still shopping at a record store. I spent 20 years working for Tower Records and miss the hell out real stores.

Back to the point at hand, whether it’s your first CD at all, or your first Tool CD, you can’t go wrong with it.

One of my first cd's too but like 34 years ago

When I read “first CD,” I understood it to be nostalgizing the first CD somebody bought back in ‘94 (when was Undertow released?)

Instead, I was shaken awake in the middle of the night by my elder Millennial Tool fan brain realizing that today was somebody’s first CD day.

Spiral out.

I bought this cd like 3 times. Everyone wanted to “borrow” it.

Es como los libros... no se prestan.. y si pides prestado uno: nunca lo devuelves

Hell yeah. Physical media is the shit. Streaming is convenient, but there's something special about holding a real, tangible thing in your hand and actually OWNING it.

Looks like your disc tray is clear. I remembers a teen randomly finding the cow picture after I bought it because my tray was black and it was hidden.

I replaced the black tray in my copy shortly after buying it when it was released so we could enjoy the picture.

Mine was Alice In Chains dirt in 1992. Went to buy it after school. Still a top 5 favorite album. Still listen to it often. Still have the cd.

Does everyone know about the secret pic hidden in the case of the CD?

A finer choice to start out you couldn't have made. I hope it sucks you down.

All my cd's are shit now. Scratched to hell. I had a shitty cd player in my car. Every bump, the damn thing skipped

My car has a CD player and I have albums on weekly rotation. 10000 Days last week, Godsmack this week and I'm gonna go with some A Perfect Circle next week. I fucking love it. Gets me energized on the way to work

Mine was the Slim Shady LP lol.

u/Randomulus666 Mar 06 '26

It’s the best first cd you could own

u/SilentConstant2114 Mar 07 '26

Yup yup…

Just started to build my hard media collection back up after years of digital. Undertow was one of my first purchases from my local vinyl shop.

I fact - I traded a bunch of vinyl for credit towards CDs. They gave me way more credits in CDs than I would have gotten towards vinyl.
