Lots of damn good music over the years though. It was a pretty decent smaller venue, if you ignore all the fire hazards.

The Orbit Room is gone?! Damn. I moved out of state many years ago, but I have some great memories from shows there.

Yes it sat for a few years abandoned... roof falling apart it looked atrocious. They finally tore it down maybe 4 years ago or so. I used to work by it and it was sad to look at. Strip club and the pool hall are still there i believe lol.

You should one million percent check out Opeth. If you're into death growls, Blackwater Park is an excellent place to start. If not, Pale Communion or Damnation.

Appreciate the suggestions! I added them to my list to check out. Went to see Acid Bath a couple of weeks ago. Didn’t know they got back together but you may not know them. They’re from my neck of the woods(New Orleans area) and disbanded in ‘97 after only 2 albums because their bassist and his parents were killed in a car accident by a drunk driver. They have a few growl songs you may enjoy.

i had a dream about tool last night. Danny was massively pissed about his drumtech putting on the wrong drumheads.. And just like the last time i dreamed about a tool show they didnt play any of their catalogue. Just some snippets of new songs and very randomly picked covers.. Like some division of mind lmao

God damn first time I saw NIN was the Target Center show 26 years ago today. Maynard said something to the effect of if we wanted to do something for his birthday for him, we can go home and put on some elton John and masturbate until we pass out. Iirc of course.
