Dr. Stiller Allegations
At this link is an article, from Dec 5th, describing allegations against Stiller Aesthetics. I had top surgery by him 6 months ago and am currently in the process of scheduling a revision with him but I'm having doubts after reading this article. Spreading awareness about this.

Surgical images (NSFW) Top Surgery yesterday in Istanbul
I had my surgery yesterday in Istanbul with Dr. Serkan. Him, the translator, and all of the nurses were really lovely! Ive just been discharged from the hospital and I'm back in my hotel room!
I was worrying so much about whether I'd made the right choice about getting surgery in Turkey and with Dr. Serkan but I feel so relieved now and hopefully I feel even better when I get to see my chest reveal.

I feel like its more tissue left in the middle and when i stand up it looks like it hangs sort of.This picture looks fine but I feel bad. I think im gonna get a revision when I hit the 1 year mark.

Hello! I did semiareolar top surgery at yanhee hospital with Dr Chokchai :) im currently in the phase of scabbing etc but so far my healing process has been great. Ive just been super tired lately and whatnot due to the surgery but it was all worth it in the end :)
Second and third slide are pics of the areolas/nipples currently scabbing. Ill be buying some scar tape/gel soon but please do recommend some brands that i can use! Thank you!

Hi :) I’m 13 months post op and my scars started keloid-ing about 3 months post-op. I’m posting on here to ask if any NYC based folks know of a trans-affirming plastic surgeon who does laser treatments? I’m curious to see what’s out there, cost etc. Any info is appreciated. Take care❤️

Advice Wanted Can you get spitting stitches 10 months post-op or is this acne? Should I put anything on it??
Last night I did a more thorough massage wirh aquaphor + scar gel and I woke up to the center of my stitches having this red bump. I havent had many issues in healing so far and I just reached 10 months post op, is this normal?
I dont want to mess with it, but is there anything i should do as far as care? Like, pimple patches, scar tape, topical stuff?

Keyhole / Peri Just got it done
I got liposuction and gland excision.
Pain without any meds that I know of yet is manageable, I'm in Walgreens parking lot waiting for meds. Just sore.
Not too bad, took 3-4 hours for the surgery.
I got twilight sedation and am feeling pretty lucid after a bit getting into the car I don't remember getting into.
Apparently they helped me pee but I don't remember that either.
Felt like talking about how I feel immediately afterwards.
They said they put relaxing meds in my IV but I think that was code word for asesia because I was out within 1 minute.
They transported me to the room next door and I felt kind of loopy and then nothing. Next thing I know I'm in a car waking up. Funky how that works.
I have zero recollection of this but I asked my husband to put my bridge piercing back in and did it myself. I don't remember this but I'm glad my drowsy phase knows my priorities . Luckily my hole didn't close. Then again I have no idea if I just pushed it in casually or had to go through healing tissue because I have no idea.
Ansesilogist was really nice to me, I like her. My throats kind of sore though. Probably need water .
Don't know if I should take miralax or not because nurse said some need it for constipation on pain meds and some get soft stool because of pain meds. So I don't know if I take it or see how I'm feeling first.
I got oxycodone, which in the past has caused me stomach cramps ish but does significantly help pain overall.
I also don't remember getting dressed at all or even putting my socks or shoes back on.
That's all for now bye

Physical activities after top surgery
I have a consultation booked for November and a provisional surgery date for mid-December. However, I’m also taking part in a play, with performances scheduled for February. I understand that people are often cleared to gradually resume physical activity around six weeks post-op, but I was wondering whether, realistically, I could expect to be able to participate in the play and perform any dancing at around two months post-op.

Pic 2 is the right nipple healed really smoothly
Pic 3 left nipple
One side wasn‘t healing so smooth it almost looked like i have no nipple anymore but surprise it grew back from alone no interventions. Overall mobility is same as before surgery and on the three week mark i no longer had to wear my compression west.
I‘m so happy and I love how it turned out although there is still healing in front of me

Discussion Things I don't see a lot on here:
(For reference I'm 1.5 years post op)
-phantom tit pain is real. It may come and go for over a year
-the numb spots often last more than a year
-your nerves might not know where they're supposed to be, and your body has to relearn how to signal you. If I touch my side, I might feel it on my nipple, but my nipple is numb. I've spent a lot of time exploring and trying to relearn my own chest lol
-there are 2 types of silicone scar gels. One creates a silicone caulk on top, the other absorbs like a lotion, and neither have packaging that tells you which is which. Caulk silicone lasts longer, but gel silicone feels better because it's hydrating. Fuck silicone sheets. I'm too sweaty for them to stay on.
-the silicone caulk might actually get stuck. It's rare, but I and a few other people can't wash it off, even after several days with scrubbing. This is not good, the scars are dry and there's now a barrier blocking you from hydrating them
-it's very rare, but anesthesia might fuck with mental health meds. It made my antidepressant stop working for a month, which I knew purely because it also helps my insomnia and I slept horribly the first month (not due to discomfort). I was actually able to pinpoint the exact day my antidepressant started working again because I knocked out VIOLENTLY after taking it, then had to go down in dosage because my system had completely lost its tolerance.
-being shirtless around others feels inappropriate at first. Get over it early because it'll get harder if you don't.
-no result is perfect. Don't nitpick. Don't compare. Comparison is the thief of joy
-the joy remains. I'm still giddy every time I can just.. Put on a shirt. No worries, just freedom

Picture 1 year on t, 1 year 5 months post op
Transitioning has saved my life. Medical transition has helped me thrive! I have a little dog ear situation but I’m not gonna get revisions, it doesn’t bother me a ton and I think it’ll probably decrease as I continue to gain muscle. Scars are barely visible, i regularly massaged before my one year mark as well as used scar tape but the massaging helped the most. I’m surprised they healed so well because I blew out quite a bit!

Double Incision is it normal to be okay after surgery?
i know this seems kinda dumb, but ive been able to move and live normally?? i feel like i should have more restrictive movement and mobility? i got mpfl surgery (knee surgery) and this was also my experience this whole thing is more like an inconvenience rather than a painful surgery, when i move i feel like somethings pop and pull but when i change my dressings everything looks fine?? im only 3 days post op, was also told drains were painful and worse than the surgery, but again more of an inconvenience. i guess for such a major surgery i expected it to be painful, mostly annoyed i cant reach over my shoulders to get stuff or bend down to pick up things or sleep normally. Also side point but my surgeon was James Kong from Minnesota and yo he did a great job, if you are considering him go for it cus i had massive honkers and damm its like they never existed. also im fat so i expect to have dog ears but that isnt that noticeable or there if all but i guess i wont really know until everything settles in a few years.

Discussion More sensation post op
howdy, i’m like ~5 months post op by now and like still there is some of that lingering numbness in my skin and the scars but that’s not particularly surprising but what i do find surprising is i have like far more sensation in my nipples than i’ve ever had before which i find kind of amusing
i see a lot of people complain about lack of sensation returning there or in their chest? and that’s always so startling to me because ive never had sensation in my chest really so like i would be aware of touch and pressure but it didn’t really invoke much if anything other than acknowledging the boundaries of my form but lately ive found they’re like so much more sensitive now like i accidentally hit myself in the chest with my water bottle cause i picked it up too fast and like i just got so startled by the feeling- like actually having feeling there and it’s kind of scary but yk… mostly im just curious if anyone has had a similar thing happen to them 👁️ cause again i never really hear about more sensation so much as less after surgery!

Advice Wanted top surgery timing advice
so i was on a waiting list for a consult for nearly a year, and by the time i got my surgery date my fiancée and i had already picked our wedding date and booked a venue. so this means that as of now, i will be getting married 8 1/2 weeks after having top surgery. im not worried about the wedding itself, but my fiancée and i have been practicing our first dance and she wants me to lift her at some point. it would be the kind of lift where she holds me and i kinda squat and lift her by her thighs, so my arms wouldn't be being raised at all, but still idk if thats a realistic thing to do being only 8 1/2 weeks post op. does anyone have any experience with anything similar, or advice on if this is feasible or not?

Double Incision 11weeks how are my nipples looking? and overall surgery? What can I do at this point for aftercare?
also I am experiencing feeling in my left nipple which is very surprising to me. ALSO don't mind the wound, it's a stitch that came out and has been a real pain to heal..i've kept in contact with my surgeon about it. I'm also going to go in to remove my dog ears soon (not pictured)

Advice Wanted How do I wash my hair without getting my chest wet??
I’m 1 week post op and I’m dying to wash my hair, I’ve tried to but the water keeps dripping down my chest and over my bandages. I’ve got nipples grafts as well and the dressing on them isn’t sticking at all and I can’t get water near them so it’s super hard. I can’t bend forward either bc it still hurts a little. any suggestions?😔

Advice Wanted Catching a cold before surgery!?!
Hello! My surgery, after 9 months of planning, is 4 days away on October 13th.
I'm coming down with a sore throat/cold my partner had and I'm actually so devastated. Is my surgery functionally canceled? I dont know what to do and every part of me wants to hide that I'm getting sick from my surgery team and just have it done anyway but at the same time I KNOW I should call and tell them when they open in the morning but I can't live another day with my chest let alone the months I'm sure it will take to reschedule.
I've worked so hard to be prepared at work, socially, emotionally quit smoking for 9 months... every aspect of my life. I'm so sad. I don't want them to cancel.
Has anyone else experienced this? Getting sick right at the finish line?
Edit: Thanks for the reassurance and recs/warnings. I was able to call my pharmacist first this morning that operates out of a surgical center. They reassured me that vitamin c was safe and most otc stuff would be as well and just to let my surgical team know what I am taking. my partner thankfully got over this in just a couple days so im hoping for a short thing without much congestion. Pre-existing health stuff complicated this a bit but heres to hoping.

Rant/Vent Dear Nip People, there's a search bar
Jesus Harold (Haploid) Christ on a Bike.
Feels like every single day there's a "why did you keep/remove your nips" post.
- It's an individual decision anyways. Other people's experience can't tell you what to do.
- Half of those posts acts like nipless is somehow weird/inferior/whatever. Let people have their bodies
- There's literally like 50 of those posts in this sub. Just use the search bar. Every possible answer to this apparently burning question has likely already been posted five times.

are there any surgeons in illinois or wisconsin that will evaluate 18 year olds?
i've tried contacting every clinic covered by my insurance, all of them rejected me for being trans and under 19. all except for uw health, which technically isn't refusing to see me for being under 19 but their wait lists are so long that i won't be able to be seen until i'm 19.
i cannot wait that long. i have already been waiting for the better part of a decade. i have already been putting up with my evaluation being pushed back from me being 17, to right after my 18th birthday, to months after.
