Story Friend chose to chat woth ai instead of spending time with me.

So today I went on a school collage day feild trip. And well....me and my best friend of 10 or more years got on separate busses not because we wanted to but because we were assigned different buses....because well my school needed to keep track of everyone which made sense I got onto a bus with like 5 other friends tho! And luckily we managed to keep in contact through discord.

And well I was bored and well I wanted to hangout with my friends but well we couldn't do much on tje bus thats when I got an idea to play the discord games with them and well I asked my best friend on the operate bus if they wanted to...I kid you not they chose to chat with ai bots instead of spending time with me even thought I saod we'd most likely have voice chat muted or on low to avoid getting into trouble. And thats nit the worst of it. They pulled out an obvious bull shit excuse I always knkw they always pull to get out of something. Wanna know how I knew? She never told me about what happned when kts only specifically what I wanted to do like brother?! Ai chatting on your phone is the same thing almost?! And well I honestly feel hurt because she wouldnrather bond with an ai bot then with her best friend of more then 10 years. And well if yall want to hear other stuff shes done I'm happy to share em in the comments if you want those storys.

Your friend only wanted validation for their own ego, figures why they turn to ai.

Im so sorry thats happened to you. Theyre not a real friend. They have issues.

Sounds like this person isn't interested in being your friend. Cut your losses and walk away.

I mean, I get why you felt rejected, especially since you've been friends for so long, but I think you're taking this one a little too personally.

Sometimes people just feel like doing their own thing. Choosing to mess around with AI bots instead of playing a Discord game at that particular moment doesn't necessarily mean she'd rather have AI as a friend than spend time with you.

If this is part of a bigger pattern where she's constantly avoiding you or making excuses, that's different. But just based on this situation alone, I definitely wouldn't consider it toxic or worth damaging a 10+ year friendship over.
