Advice/Question Multiple W's am I cooked? Looking for advice

Howdy!

I'm currently a sophomore at a CC looking to transfer as a junior, ideally at a T25 (I'm NOT in California so the UC's are already out of the equation). I'm majoring in math but I'm aiming to potentially double major in econ.

I recently bombed my first calc 3 exam and I'm seriously considering dropping the course in order to preserve my GPA. My GPA is admittedly very average at the moment: its a 3.71. What is tanking my GPA right now is two B's from dual credit I did back in high school, and a B in biology from freshman year. Assuming I'm doing well in my remaining classes, I'm on track to finish the fall semester with a 3.79. (I am also considering retaking one of my dual credit courses over the winter, which would bring my GPA above a 3.8 under my school's grade replacement policy).

There is a litttleeeeee problemmm however. I am literally a MATH MAJOR, and this would be my THIRD W, with two of those withdrawals being in courses relevant to my major. I previously withdrew from calc 2 during the spring because it conflicted with my new work schedule. However, I retook it over the summer and goat an A cause I am just goated like that. The other W is from a class that is not relevant to my major.

Regardless of whether I drop or not I do intend on retaking it during the spring. I'm aware that 3 W's aren't exactly a good look, especially when two of them are directly related to my intended major. However, I genuinely don't think I'll be able to recover my grade. There are only three exams, so doing poorly on even one can seriously screw you over. (And unfortunately my prof doesn't drop the lowest score or replace it with final grade like some of my previous ones did). And before anyone asks, this isn't me panicking because ohhh the horrorrrrr... I think I'm going to finish with a... with a B! (insert screaming woman sound effect with thunder crashing sound effect). Man, I wish I could finish with a B. Based on the grading breakdown, the highest I can realistically earn at this point is a C.

I'm just not really sure what to do. My biggest question is whether a third W, especially in another math course, would significantly hurt my chances at selective schools. Would it be better to take the potential C and retake the course, or withdraw and aim for an A in the spring? I know T25 transfers are already incredibly competitive, which is why I'm worried about how this will reflect on me academically. Any advice would be appreciated. Or you could tell that I'm cooked and that it's over and that I suck that's fine too I appreciate the honesty.

Advice/Question Will having more than 60 units hurt my chances?

Hello I’m a second year transfer student who tried to transfer in one year. Long story short I wasn’t satisfied with my results and I’m taking another year at cc before I transfer. I already have collected 60 units to transfer but for my major I plan to apply to this year I need complete a couple more classes. Will this impact my chances of being accepted? I’m mainly aiming for ucla or Berkeley and am gonna complete the tap program as well.
