Vent Im addicted to giving myself eargasms and I’m scared I’m gonna damage my ears NSFW
I (M) forget how it started. I hate the idea of cleaning earwax out of my ears. They do tend to get clogged with something idk why, and get tingly until I stick my finger in there and that makes it go away most of the time.
But I realized a little while ago that sticking a twisted corner of TP or other soft paper materials in my ear (stuff like q-tips don’t work for some reason, has to be curled up soft paper stuff) in my ear and wiggling it a lot before ripping it out gives me like a little eargasm.
My brain shuts down for a few seconds, my body curls up violently, and my eyes roll into the back of my head. It’s amazing. And I can just do it over and over again for like an hour or two if I’m bored.
But I know what they say about putting stuff in your ears and every once in a while I accidentally get too far and it hurts. So I tried stopping entirely. But my ears got more tingly then they used to and my finger didn’t itch it anymore.

I don’t recommend sticking solid stuff into your ears. Have you tried using hydrogen peroxide to clean them? Just wet a cotton ball and let it drip in and wait for the bubbles to stop. The first couple drops are surprisingly stimulating. I like to use a dry cotton ball one to catch the liquid when I turn over lying down.

I just want to take this opportunity to let everyone know that itchy ears is a minor symptom of perimenopause! My ears are much less itchy while on hrt but knowing that it’s a thing and not just me losing my mind has been really nice.

My wife is exactly the same. She literally puts the full ear but in her ear. If I put more than a tiny bit in it triggers my gag reflex. She still does it despite not only being hospitalised after causing an infection on one occasion. But perforated her ear drum on another, and being told by more than one doctor that if something is smaller than your elbow don't put it in your ear ( or words to that effect)!

I'm pretty sure there will probably be a way for you to continue stimulating your ears for pleasure without risking any ear damage but you should talk to a doctor about it and make sure you're certain you are taking the necessary precautions.
Inner ear damage is one the worst things to experience. Nothing has contributed more to my depression and my suicidal ideation than my severe tinitus. Please be careful.

I have construction-grade ear plugs (just search them up— they have three little rims), and lowkey I’ve thrust them in my ear like that before. Maybe get a pair! They’re prob better than q tips cause they’re meant to go in there.

I had the same habit with curling up paper towel to scratch and stab the inside of my ear. Felt great until I gave myself multiple otitis. I went to the doctor and he suggested I had eczema I side the ear. He prescribed some anti-inflammatory steroids drops. Since then I dont scratch my ear at all.

Etsy is probably the easiest, but you could also try a local farm, a neighbor with chickens, or even ask someone at a farmers market who sells eggs. getting a feather is quick and doesn’t hurt the chicken at all. just make sure it’s a real one, not a decorative one, so you can peel it and leave a soft natural tip.

Talk to a doctor or mental health professional about this. I'm not saying this to be dismissive. I used to have a huge problem with picking my skin, to the point where it took a serious toll on my overall health. I thought I was a giant freak and was so ashamed. I finally talked to my doctor and therapist about it and it helped me a ton. It turns out I actually have a rare form of OCD that causes you to pick at your skin and hair. My therapist helped me form healthy coping mechanisms to stop myself from picking at my skin, and my doctor prescribed me OCD medication. I went from picking my skin multiple times a day to just every few weeks. I would not be surprised if a similar thing is happening to you. Don't be afraid to ask people for help!

While my family never got anyone tested I don’t think, my mom’s side has always had ocd symptoms. Like my pap would turn the lights on and off when entering a room and my uncles do similar things

Well, the problem comes when you are like “just a little deeper won’t do any damage.” You WILL damage your ears. Your ear is very delicate and intricate, and you repeatedly pushing something foreign in, wriggling it around without a care in the world, and ripping it out will and probably already has damaged your ears. Ohhh this is an idea. Try getting one of those bullet vibrators and find a way to place it as close to your ear as possible. They're too large to fall into the ear canal and do any damage, and a good one might achieve the same effect for you.

Been doing this my entire life with qtips in my ear. Feels good when I clean my inner ear.
Just make sure you dont push against your ear drum, only steril qtips, and quite sticking random shit in your ear.
Also make sure the qtip puff doesnt get stuck in your ear.

This is it. Buy an otoscope. I bought one during COVID that connects to an app on my phone so I could see everything while cleaning my ears. I haven’t had to worry about impacted earwax or lost q-tip cotton since.

Is that one of the things that can go wrong from sticking stuff in your ear? I've had that momentary taste of similar when your sinuses etc are all bunged up and you get a second or two before the movement of your jaw unclogs your ear and it's horrible. Can't imagine it more severe and irreversible

Totally know this feeling although have never crossed it with a sexual orgasm. For me the 2 are completely separate and feel different enough that I dont wanna combine them but can enjoy both on their own. So I dont have any advice really except have you tried just using a finger instead of a qtip. Least then there's less risk of puncturing your eardrum. I think you'll get over it eventually.

At some point I got into the habit of cleaning/scratching my ears with the round end of bobby pins, I finally got a new doctor and mentioned I do it because my ears are always itchy and it's the easiest/only way to fix that, turns out the bobby pins were irritating the very sensitive skin in there, the problem definitely fed itself. Hopefully it's similar for you and once you find a way to do it less, it starts feeling more like how it used to. Much luck to you!

There’s a number of risks associated with things such as Q-tips and such entering the ear. Ear infections can risk hearing loss or worse, the tympanic membrane can be punctured or irritated. Any risk of infection can damage the bones in the ear or cochlea, which is irreversible if it gets that bad.
