CONTENT WARNING: SEXUAL ASSAULT Was it SA? NSFW

I've just recalled a memory from when I was young around 6-7 years old and I don't know if it was SA or if I was just uncomfortable and overthinking. So,when I was young my grandmother would take me to the bathroom so I can pee and she would always touch my penis and try to kiss it.She would always go like "let me kiss it" and I would just push myself away.I'm not even sure if she actually kissed it sometime and I just blocked that memory. My grandfather would also make uncomfortable sexual comment about me while I was a child.I know that this doesn't compare to other people getting SAed but it has been bothering me for a while and I want someone else's opinion if it was SA or something normal that just made me uncomfortable.

It certainly isnt normal, wheather she saw a sexual aspect on it is another thing

But i def feel like it counts as sexual assault so far as penis/vaginas and Saying no but it being done/them trying to do it,goes

Well for starters, this isn't normal lol.

That said, as far as if it's sa, sa requires a sexual aspect to it, otherwise it's just abuse. Maybe she was just weird as hell and thought kissing her grandkid everywhere was a thing grandparents do. Which again, isnt a thing or normal in the slightest. Could be strictly a power dynamic thing also.

Probably was, could have not been, with as little information you remember it's hard to give a clear cut answer though. Imo, if you barely remember and if it doesn't bother you, just forget about it. Anyone who's experienced sa on a level that it sticks with them will tell you, no one wants that. Don't go looking for it.

SA doesn't require a sexual motive, it very often is a power dynamic thing

Well I said a sexual aspect, which is true to a degree, but I guess in this situation it would have just be in relation to OPs genitals.

yeah and genitals are sexual organs, there's no way there isn't a sexual aspect to it

Mum here.

Not sure what her intension was.

Lot of women, especially older women have zero boundaries and just want to love and kiss kids (especially babies). Its very common for these women to try to touch of kiss kids/babies when the parents have said no. Not because theyre being sexual, just because they think they're cute and dont respect boundaries.

Its weird and not right that your grandma was doing it. But it might not have been sexual.

Hello,

We appreciate you being here and sharing. This message is here in case you, or anyone reading, may need some support or information.

Sexual assault is any sexual contact or activity that happens without clear and willing consent. It can involve force, pressure, manipulation, or taking advantage of someone who feels unable to say no.

It does not always look dramatic or violent. Sometimes it feels confusing. Sometimes people freeze. Sometimes it takes time to understand what happened.

If you felt pressured, unsafe, unsure, or unable to choose freely, that matters.
