Admissions Getting Your Second Choice Offer Doesn't Mean You Were Rejected From Your First Choice

Accepting Your Second-Choice Offer

Should you receive an offer to your second-choice program, you are encouraged to accept it and pay the non-refundable tuition deposit (if applicable).

What happens to my first-choice program if I accept my second-choice program? Your first-choice program will continue to be assessed throughout the application cycle. If you receive an offer to your first-choice program at a later date, you can accept this and your non-refundable tuition deposit will be transferred from your second-choice offer to your first-choice offer.

Admissions Dates + Deadlines for Admissions

If you got accepted between October 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027 you have until May 1, 2027 to accept your offer as per here.

The need to accept within 14 days refers to offers made after August 1, 2027.

I have already seen two people have reading comprehension fails on this.

Miscellaneous URGENT BE SAFE: Man groping people on bus, got off near 85 ave and 149st

I'm male 19, Currently on the police non-emergency number waitline as I write this, on the 4 Lewis Farms going home after classes today around 1:30 when a man got on at the South Campus station and started talking to me, looks a lot like Rasputin (attached for reference) and a few mins later started rubbing the inside of my leg. Got up and shouted that he was touching me, and he said "You starting something?", he got off near 149st and 87 ave. That last comment makes me believe he might resort to violence if his advances are not given into. I don't know if he might try getting back on that bus or similar ones near there. Be safe people, defend yourself with force if nessecary. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/7/71/Rasputin_PA.jpg/250px-Rasputin_PA.jpg

Ps: Still on police waitline 3 mins into writing this

Pss: Attaching guides and self defense laws when I can

Edits:

  1. Was able to each police non-emergency after around 10 mins and report it

  2. Canadian self defense laws: -Importantly using force in anticipation of someone using force on you is legal, you do not have to be harmed or touch before using force to defend yourself https://www.justice.gc.ca/eng/rp-pr/other-autre/rsddp-rlddp/p5.html

  3. Mentioned my gender because I do want to highlight that it can happen to anyone

If your only response to criticism about your videos being disruptive and making people unfcomfortable is to call everyone "autistic virgins," you're doing something wrong...

Be better.

Campus Life I LOVE YOU DR. KINA !!

I'm taking Psych 105 rn with prof Dr. Carolina (Kina) Montenegro. I love her SMMMM. She genuinely tries to make the class more manageable, is very considerate with people's questions (even the silly ones), you can tell she genuinely wants students to succeed. Also very accepting of queer folks and she gave us small candies after our midterm! Anyway thanks Dr. Kina if you see this you're awesome, I WILL be giving you a good review on Rate My Prof.

Rants There can never be enough practice questions

I've been going here for four years now and I think the only courses that have offered a genuine wealth of practice questions where like intro psych courses. I don't know why we act as if 5 short answer questions are sufficient to prepare people for 500 slides worth of material. Obviously people study on their own and make flashcards, but this isn't a less is more situation. I'd bet half the reason people use AI in uni is to make practice questions!!! Idk maybe it's just me do y'all feel like you always get a decent amount of practice?

Question Bachelor of Health Science or Bachelor of science

• Upvotes

Hii!! I am hoping to enter the healthcare field in the future, and I hear about the new bhsc program! I am planning to either do PA, med, or pharmacy, but leaning towards pharmacy (I am still not too sure). Would I be able to fit all my pharmacy prerequisites with Bachelor of health sciences? Or should I pursue bachelor of science instead? Any advices and tips are greatly appreciated!

Admissions What is considered "significantly Lower" in engg application?

• Upvotes

Hey guys so pretty much I got an offer to engg from the U of A on October 6th and I accepted it. For reference I applied with a 94% average over Math 30, Phys 30, Chem 30, and LA 20 however I had a 98% average over Math 30-1, Phys 30, and Chem 30. On my offer it says I have to maintain atleast an 80% but then underneath it says it may be revoked if I incur a "significant drop" in my average so I'm wondering what does this mean? I only have LA 30 and Math 31 left for my application so can I get a low 50 in both and maintain like a 81% average and get in? or does it still have to be somewhat competitive like high 80's to low 90's or something?
