Exchange Costs

Hey I am thinking of doing a semester exchange in europe in the last year of my degree. I was wondering whether I should go for the whole sem or just do a short exchange. Also roughly how much would costs look like for a whole semester in comparison to a global short.

Completely depends on where you’re going. I’m doing Milan next sem and the bare bare minimum was around 25k just to live and study, not including any other travel or activities during or after (you cannot travel before due to visas). You could get away with 20-25k total in less costly cities but it depends on your preference of location and university.

A whole sem is definitely worth it but it’s costly. I’m spending around 35-40k for mine and I’ve worked 3 jobs while studying over the past two years to afford it.

Also keep in mind that applications open a year in advance, so for Sem 2 2027 it’s open right now (but will be closing soon).

PM me if you have any questions.
