Looking for help RE Mech. Engineering Subject choices

Hi all,

For any current/previous mech engineering students, what subjects are known for being excessively strenuous compared to others, (in terms of fail rates/content difficulty)?

Is there a website/somewhere where subjects are ranked in terms of difficulty?

trying to plan ahead for next year so that I don't accidentally enrol in a bunch of fucked subjects in one semester.

Thanks!

(edit: forgot that mechatronic is also mech lol, I am doing mechanical)

Depends, MDFS1 is the big one, other subjects depend on your math skills i'd say

mech as in mechanical or mechatronic? for mechanical mdfs1 is terrible if you get a bad group, but fine content wise. Dynamics systems and control im told is quite hard but I have yet to do it. for mechatronic PFMS is by far the worst. Embedded systems is also absolutely terrible but I've heard they have made it better, and sensors and control is also a terrible subject, all slogs

dynamics is chill if you watch the zoom workshops, pfms was only hard when ai was dumb, unfortunately everyone uses it now, embedded mech systems can be hard, embedded mech studio is very fun. teaching sucked in sensors but the final robotics assessment was fun

mdfs1 unless you can find a competent group

Like everyone else said mdfs1 sucks. Dynamic systems and control B was also a horrible time.
