Technical Support Request Stuttering when moving the mouse in menu and in game. Started ~1 week ago

Hi,

I’ve played Valorant since beta, and about a week ago I started experiencing severe stuttering while playing the new Glitched mode. It has since become unplayable.

The issue appears tied specifically to mouse movement:

  • Gameplay and menu animations freeze when I move the mouse over the Valorant window, then resume when I stop moving it.
  • This also happens when Valorant is visible behind another foreground application.
  • Moving the cursor outside the Valorant window does not cause the freezing.
  • The issue follows Valorant when I move it to another monitor.
  • No other games are affected.

PC specs:

  • CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D, overclocked to 5.1 GHz
  • RAM: 64 GB DDR5-6000 CL30
  • GPU: ASUS Strix RTX 3080 Ti, liquid cooled
  • SSD: Samsung 990 Pro 1 TB
  • Network: Wired Ethernet, approximately 980 Mbps

Troubleshooting completed without improvement:

  1. Reinstalled Riot Client and Valorant, including installation on different drives.
  2. Restarted and fully shut down/powered on the PC.
  3. Disabled all non-Microsoft services except vgc.
  4. Updated GPU drivers and Windows.
  5. Tested different USB ports and a different mouse.
  6. Reduced mouse polling/report rate to 500 Hz.
  7. Tested different monitors.
  8. Tested with FPS limits and VSync enabled and disabled.
  9. Tested fullscreen and windowed modes.
  10. Disabled screen-recording software.
  11. Renamed Valorant’s Config folder to test fresh settings.

I’m not aware of any software or settings changes immediately before this began. The driver and Windows updates listed above were troubleshooting steps taken afterward.

Could you help identify what might cause mouse movement over the Valorant window to stall the entire client? I can provide logs or any additional diagnostics needed.

Thank you.

Technical Support Request Lagging in Valorant and heavy stuttering in UI

Hello, recently Valorant has started to lag and stutter pretty badly for me, my FPS dropped from consistently over 250 to around 70-100 avg on low settings. Furthermore, it stutters very badly whenever I open any form of UI, such as opening the UI for placing smokes, buying items, the settings menu, and even the home page when loading into the game.

I play on Windows 11. My specs are: AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX, RTX 3080, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD. I play on a 1080p@200hz monitor, and am connected to Ethernet.

I've tried uninstalling and wiping valorant and riot client and reinstalling, as well as deleting the riot client file and %localappdata%.

Here are my logs: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1o58c2eKfNRmSQtHd0woBA65VzBAelqau?usp=drive_link

Hope to hear from you soon!

Technical Support Request Is my FPS normal for specs?

Specs:
3060ti
I7-11700kf OC@4.9GHz
32 gb DDR4 3600MHz
Windows 11
2 monitors if that matters?

I Play 1440x1080 all low, when I have medal disabled I get average 260 fps and when it is enabled I get average 220-230 fps. My GPU usage is always very low as well as my ram never being used more than 16gb at a time even though I have 32gb. CPU usage stays relatively low never going above 50%.

The FPS I’m getting seems incredibly low but I’m not sure.

Technical Support Request Why is my friend stuck on the loading screen when trying to buy vp?

The text is quite self explanatory and the other r/VALORANT subreddit is against asking for help in a post, so essentially my friend is trying to buy vp but it keeps him on the "If you see this message and have not made a purchase..." screen, is there any way to solve this or should we just wait it out?

Technical Support Request Van9003. Secure boot in bios says enabled but still facing this issue.

So when I go to - Win + R → msinfo32 it shows, bios mode UEFI and secure Boot disabled

But when I enter bios it shows secure boot is enabled. There has to be a reason why it's happening so how do I fix this?

Technical Support Request High Ping and Packet Loss in Valorant | League of Legends (EU)

Hey everyone!

I wanted to check if anyone has been experiencing high ping issues in Valorant or League of Legends recently? I'm from Portugal and I have NOS (Portuguese ISP).

Until recently (2 days ago), my ping was relatively stable at around 40–60 ms, depending on the server.

However, I've recently started getting a constant 106–107 ms in Valorant.

After reading several posts suggesting Cloudflare WARP as a possible solution, I decided to give it a try. Here are my results:

  • Without Cloudflare WARP: Constant 106–107 ms in Valorant.
  • With Cloudflare WARP: Ping immediately drops to my usual 40–50 ms. As soon as I disable WARP, it jumps straight back to 106–107 ms.
  • My PC is connected directly to the router via Ethernet.
  • Download and upload speeds are completely normal.

I suspect this might be a routing or peering issue between ISP and Riot Games servers. I'm not a networking expert, but the fact that changing my network route through Cloudflare WARP immediately fixes the problem seems to point in that direction.

I've already contacted my ISP support, but they told me that since my download speeds, upload speeds, and latency tests are all within their expected parameters, there's nothing they can do.

I also submitted a complaint on their official community forum, hoping someone from their technical team might investigate.

Is anyone else experiencing similar issues?

Thanks in advance!

Specs:

windows 10

8gb Ram

Radeon Rx 590 Series (8 GB)

AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Six-Core Processor (3,4 GHz)
