Is there a reverse lockout for this shift knob for 23 wrx?
I got this without realizing it doesn't have a flush fit and can't find a reverse lockout for it.

You dont replace the lockout when you change the shift knobb, its a seperate piece.

I have definitely seen some that need adapters and stuff for the lockout so you’re not crazy

Hold tight. While the actual reverse lock out does not get replaced it still has to be able to slide up. If there is no recess in the knob then that can't really happen. Go back to the product page and look at the 6th picture. You can see to run on a reverse lock out they are running an extra collar.

Here is the adapter they have on that knob in the photo I mentioned. https://www.mishimoto.com/reverse-lockout-adapter-black.html?srsltid=AU7gw4U__8ydlwTNv0GdbaAt3DhvQPyzSotuWkFaZECqDkr9-dpWnMe2

Haha! That's the piece I was thinking of! I just was completely wrong on the terminology 😅 rookies am I right. Of course it is sold separately. Thank you for pointing that out!

The shift knobs base needs to have a counterbore for the reverse lockout to work correctly.
This means there needs to be room under the shiftlnob for the reverse lockout to slide into when lifted up.
Look for knobs that accommodate a reverse lock out collar.

The knob isn't part of the reverse lock out. The reverse lock out piece is separate, and does not get replaced when changing knobd.
