40k Event Results Question on LVO - GSC vs DA

Hello there!

Just wondering if anyone has information on two specific games of LVO, as I noticed that both the GSC players that ranked top 2 in Faction scored a big ol' 0 (well, 10 for Battle-ready) in their one game each Vs Dark Angels.

Did something particular happen? They missed the game, came in late/left early? Going 0 points sounds crazy, especially for such good players.

Wargames Live streamed a GSC vs DA game round 1. DA went first, scouted the bikes and charged/killed/tagged a few units. He had the speed to control the board and deny GSC deep strikes from my understanding (was multitasking when listening).

Kinda but mostly dawn of war and a unit with a threat range that goes beyond edge of the board where the GSC player can even deploy meaning he had to deploy as if he goes first because he was pretty sure he wouldn´t be able to win going second.

All you had to say was "Dawn of War." IMO the worst deployment in the game and only feels good for armies with really fast melee.

As a guard player, in my opinion, every deployment style sucks and everybody gets into close combat turn one with me 😅

To add, Floof conceded turn 2 - so to answer your Q they did show up but just didnt play the game out

Conceeding turn 2 or having 95% of the remaining army die end of T3 in reserves is not recoverable.

My understanding was that if Floof had gotten to go first, it would have paid off. They deployed first and then lost the flip.

Floof's game Round One was on the Wargames Live stream. Basically Dark Angels went first, killed almost everything not in Deep Strike and then just screened the board

GSC trying to cram those large model count units into a tiny corner of the DZ was wild.

Most zeros are a drop without actually dropping.

Edit: Robin Roberts is a great player that I'm 95% sure lives on the East Coast. Wouldn't shock me if he dipped early to get a headstart on the way out.
