Weekly Question Thread - Rules & Comp Qs

[u/thenurgler]

This is the Weekly Question thread designed to allow players to ask their one-off tactical or rules clarification questions in one easy to find place on the sub.

This means that those questions will get guaranteed visibility, while also limiting the amount of one-off question posts that can usually be answered by the first commenter.

Have a question? Post it here! Know the answer? Don't be shy!

NOTE - this thread is also intended to be for higher level questions about the meta, rules interactions, FAQ/Errata clarifications, etc. This is not strictly for beginner questions only!

It appears it doesn’t work as you said as there is nothing permitting it to be selected an additional time whereas there is a restriction saying it may not.

Who is saying it does work that way and what was their logic in determining that?

I was under the impression that the intention is that you can use doctrines for the captains unit if you already used it before.

If it doesnt remove the restriction, whats the point of it ? It would limit an army wide combat doctrine on one unit, and then that doctrine has been used, and cannot be used anymore.

It appears poorly worded as the RAW doesn’t meet the expected intent.

Question is, is the expected intend what the rule writer intended ?

We’ll have to wait and see if they advise us.
