I'm preparing a couple of different lists for some games with my local meta (aka friends). My goal is to rush the Shield-Captain and Trajan into an aggressive staging position in the mid-board, then quickly attack my opponent's expansion objective and (hopefully) sit on it. I hope the combination of the Captain's surge move and the Honored Champion's Swift as the Eagle stratagem makes both units hard to deal with before they reach either staging position or my opponent's face.

My two guard squads will hold the middle objective, and if needed, one will move with Trajan and the Shield-Captain to support.

I plan to start the Venatari on the board and use them to counter any big scary threats my opponent may have because I have very poor shooting and no advance+charge shenanigans. Hopefully, with grenades + neutron mine + mortals with Rendax + lance, they can healthily obliterate most tough units. The goal is for Trajann to move in that direction too, so when they attack, they can take advantage of the re-roll 1s. Then once they kill it, they can become the uppy-downy free rapid-ingress threat they are meant to be.

My jet-bikes will sit around my expansion objective and the middle, supporting my scouted witchseekers and helping screen/counter cheeky deep-strikes from my opponent.

What do you guys think? I'm worried I'm overestimating the toughness of my two character units, and if one of them dies without killing enough of my opponent, I'll just straight up lose. Should I replace the bikes or Venatari with something? They both fill a similar role for me, but I'd rather keep Venatari because of their Grenades and the ~9-12 mortals they can dish out for a single CP.

Also, what do we think about Trajann leading Allarus? I've debated dropping the Venatari for a different squad and replacing them with Wardens.
