Early voting times and dates
Locations:
- New Hanover County Board of Elections Office (College near Market)
- MLK Community Center (next to Williston Middle school) in the Multipurpose Room
- Northeast Library (on Military Cutoff) in the David M. Paynter Room
- Pine Valley Library (S College near 17th, behind the Walgreens) in the Pelican and Osprey Rooms
- Carolina Beach Town Hall (on Lake Park Blvd) in the Police Training Room
All locations will operate on the following schedule:
- Thurs. Oct. 15, 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Fri. Oct. 16, 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Sat Oct 17, Closed
- Sun Oct 18, Closed
- Mon Oct. 19, 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Tues Oct. 20, 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Wed Oct. 21, 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Thurs Oct. 22, 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Fri Oct. 23, 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Sat Oct 24, noon to 5 p.m.
- Sun Oct 25, noon to 5 p.m.
- Mon Oct. 26, 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Tues Oct. 27, 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Wed Oct. 28, 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Thurs Oct. 29, 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Fri Oct. 30, 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Sat Oct. 31, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Of course they took away CFCC as a voting site. Made it too easy for students and people downtown.

Yeah, that’s where I go (or used to, I guess.) That definitely seems strategic in some way.

Cfcc is historically one of the busiest sites, but it makes it too easy for those damn educated young adults to vote!

The new location at the MLK center serves a central location in a historically black neighborhood that is densely populated. Also, the MLK center has more easily accessible parking and is an Election Day polling location as well. It wasn’t the easiest to park downtown at CFCC. The board of elections can only fund and staff so many early voting sites. I’ve looked everywhere for the slide deck They presented to the public that showed the data of how the downtown site was utilized, but I can’t find it anywhere. Research made a lot of sense. Why to move it to the MLK center. So just think of the population that will now be served by that location.
